Since I didn't make votes public, for those of you voting no, could you give me a little more detail in the comments pls?

I don't want to assume I know why you don't like it, and with a little more info that will help me understand if we can fix it, or just remove it completely.

The same red box shows up in alerts so the one in Game Threads seems unnecessary

It confuses me...not sure if I have an alert or someone is trying to send me a facebook friend request?? So one is enough.

? What do you mean? The red alerts box is not the same as the game threads box.

So your alerts show you alerts. Convos, replies, likes, when people quote you, etc.

The game thread count shows you when there is a new post in game threads. The reason I put it in is to get more people reading and commenting on gamethreads. But if people find it annoying or distracting, I will turn it off. Unfortunately, it's a global thing, so it's either on for everyone or off for everyone.

Anyway, still accepting feedback. I don't want to change things that end up annoying people. My posts should annoy people, not the forum software.

If that is why it's there, then its fine with me to leave it, but I will go with the flow...

I feel like the new posts in the game thread don't always show up in the new posts section. They seemed to be showing up today though. Maybe I'm imagining that.

If they show as new then I don't think we need a second alert. It doesn't bother me as is either.

I don't like the fact that when you click on the Game Thread red box it takes you to a list of months. Now what do you do? I will never click on it. If other people like it, no big deal.

I am getting the vibe that nobody feels it's particularly useful. I will pull it.

Nice idea, but it would take you 2 clicks to get to the game thread using the alert, vs 1 click directly from the forum tree. I suppose that's why I never used it.
