Kgreg thinks Flip might want to bring Spree here. How smart is that?

sure lets bring in a player that can't live on more then any starter for us makes... by far. he would be complaining about pay, and about playing time before his contract ink is dry. And just out of curiosity which one of young pups would people want to give up along with our chemistry to fix a problem i am not sure won't work itself out in the next 4 months before the playoffs even start.

I think he should be humbled by now. He's made some terrible mistakes and it takes a humbling experience to help some one mature. Folks are prolly watching him, but from a good distance.

    Dumars

Dumars already nixed this one. I don't see it becoming an issue again.

My understanding is that Spree was offered a deal here for the MLE but didn't want to come off the bench.

If that's true, he certainly won't want to come off the bench for the league minimum. I wonder if he realizes yet that he really goofed by not joining the P's.

Does Flip have a power play in mind?

We all saw what LB did with Memo and Sheed. And JD let it happen. I think we all agree the team is better.
But what power play will Flip want? Is his head big enough to force a trade that JD must make to satisfy his coach? Will JD listen? Personally I think the team is sweet as is. A major injury to the front court won't hurt us.
Roscoe, if you aint gettin banned you aint trying hard enough.:eyebrows:

    Offer

Was he? I don't think he was. I know Flip wanted him but I do not believe Dumars did. Quit a while ago so I could be forgetting something.

He needs to play a good year to bring his stock back up. Teams looking to improve after the All Star break, will be knocking dow his door and we may be one of those teams. I am one still looing for Jalen to come aboard. But hey, that's just me.:eyebrows:

I was hoping for Rose before this season started, but I'm with Micro now, he's too selfish and is not a good locker room guy.

Wow I'm flattered that I'm being quoted, this is truely an honor.:eyebrows:
Here's the deal on Spree, Flip does not think that he is a cancer......that's good enough for me.
I have no clue if Spree can help, but I do think that this bench needs a kick and that we need a veteran swing man for the playoff run especially against teams that are coached by Pat Riley and Greg Popovich. I have been extremely pleased with the play of Carlos Delfino, but I'm not convinced that he is ready for game 7 of the finals. The bench needs a vet at the position for insurance purposes in case Delfino folds under the pressure of the Conf and league finals. Who is out there and available better then Spree who BTW already knows how to execute what we're doing.

KGreg, it's a close call but you're winning the poll for now. Spree would come determined to play well.
    I like all the voters that think your "special". 8-:l=}

    This Qualifies

As one of the best deals being the one that isn't made.

There is no situation that will make Spree a long term happy camper. For most guys it's caffeine, others survive on regular doses of controversy.

Yeah, I think Sprewell could really help our bench. He would probably really enjoy playing with our Pistons.

My answers still no. I'll take my chances with Delfino or Evans over Spree.

I would take Spree in a minute.

So what, the guy choked his boss. How many (be honest) of you have wanted to choke your boss at one time or another? Yeah, thats what I thought. The only difference is that Spree actually did it, because he knew they wouldn't fire him. Why wouldn't they fire him? Because he is way, way too good to fire.

Get him on the bench. Pay him peanuts. Let him hang at the clubs in Detroit. If his attitude suffers, I'm sure Ben and Sheed and Chauncey can "motivate" the guy.

Spreewell! Folk hero for the common man!
