After digging around for awhile, I finally found something that the Pistons are good at... THE DETROIT PISTONS ARE NUMBER ONE IN THE LEAGUE IN OPPONENTS' REBOUNDS PER GAME!!!! http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/team/_/stat/rebounds-per-game/sort/avgReboundsOpponent Quick! Get over there before that changes!
IN MORE CATEGORIES THAN ONE!!!!! We're also tied for #1 in Turnovers per game differential http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/team/_/stat/miscellaneous-per-game/sort/avgTurnoversDifference BTW, thanks for the link. There goes my day. One interesting thing, we're dead last in PPG, but rank 20th in total points scored.
I think that anomaly can be explained by lack of attendance at the Palace. If a Piston player makes a basket and no one is there to see it, did he really score any points? According to NBA STATS, INC., the answer is "no".
Gotta figure we're #1 in flight passengers per team bookings........ Probably in last place in luggage weight per passenger.
We're also dead least in turnovers per game differential, depending on how you look at it. Glass half-empty/half-full, I guess.
The Pistons needs another one of their players to throw up all over the court. Does NBA STATS, INC. keep track of that sort of thing?
Actually, now that I think of it, maybe I should have placed this in the "Piston Signature Moment" thread.
New NBA Power Rankings http://espn.go.com/nba/powerrankings/_/year/2012/week/5 We are not at rock bottom yet, but did fall four spots from 24th to 28th after blowing tanking two certain game winning leads last week. The question is how were we ranked as high as 24?
