That's true....but I was going for the only two teams in the NBA without a win this season. The Wiz are 0-2 and the Pistons are 0-4.
I had the Pistons winning 3 of the first 9, but they have already lost two of the three I thought they'd get. Now I am not sure if they will win any of the remaining four unless the other team has a meltdown or they decide sit someone due to an injury.
0-5 rolling into OKC, then onto Houston Im not feeling so good about my pick. Wouldn't be surprised if we lose the first 9
Gotta admit, we're really looking good on the draft pick front. We're clearly not tanking either... Just not good enough.
Perhaps Dumars is just that freakin' smart.....we are tanking for the Cody Zeller sweepstakes already....
If you start the season 4-21, the rest of the year goes really well AND you get a lottery pick. So, maybe that's the plan.
It's too obvious when you tank at the end of the season. Gotta do it early when nobody calls you out on it and then put up a fight later.
So it looks like the one choice I didn't add to the poll (zero) is the most likely at this point. I don't see us beating OKC at home or Philly away. This is what the rest of November looks like and my hopes for wins and expected losses: vs Orlando (W) vs Boston (L) @ Orlando (L) vs Toronto (W) @ New York (L) vs Portland (W) vs Pheonix (W) @ Memphis (L) If we don't go .500 in these games, I would expect that Frank should be gone.
schedule is not helping us. We are either tie or play the most games than any other teams so far but obviously played the most on the road. The only unbeaten team, who coincidentally the oldest team in the league, played 4. Go figure.
easy man, this is a very young team and they're just taking longer time to get acquaint each other on court.
The Pistons are only a few more losses away from team circling them as an automatic W on the schedule. Teams will let their guard down once this happens and won't be that motivated to play. This will allow the Pistons to squeak out a win here or there and soon we'll be looking back on a small .500 stretch of ball optimistically ignoring the fact that the other teams didn't want to play and the Pistons scored all their baskets on set shots and put backs.
I think its more on Dumars than Frank. Dumars re-upped Prince and Stuckey, Dumars gave no real options for backups at those positions beyond 2 2nd round picks. Its all Dumars - he owns this roster. I do not believe another couch could do much better. ( and its still too early for the Drummond can save this team if he only started ) argument. Or the tired old JJ at SF. Team is just lacking talent/maturity is the bottom line. I knew the start would be rough but I never saw them losing "every single one"!!! Maybe if Stuckey did not start off the season as a total wiffer we could have at least had maybe 2 wins by now. It is what it is. We have no other choice but to hope what we have gets better as is since trades are so few and far inbetween.
