Now that the holiday season is over, there really is no need to pretend to be nice all of the time. Is there a current or former NBA player that really gets on your nerves? Here are my top three: 1. Karl Malone 2. Kevin Garnett 3. LeBron James I really dislike these people.
Guys I have a hard time not rooting against when I'm watching a game: - Wade/Lebron - Kobe - KG - Melo - Griffin Pretty cool with everybody else. Westbrook isn't my favorite, but their team is fun to watch that he is covered. With a team like the Heat, I don't like their personalities, and even though they are good, I don't find them enjoyable to watch. Too much superstar bball with ref dependence for my tastes. Chris Paul, Durant, Chandler, D Rose, and many others are all perfectly enjoyable to watch and root for when I tune into a random non Pistons game. I just don't feel like they are a-holes, they are really talented, and they seem to be members of their teams.
I feel like I could have given 15 guys easily a few seasons ago. Is it harder to hate the players (opposing players anyway) when the Pistons have been so bad?
Kobe Blake Griffin MJ Garnett Probably Wade - good basketballer but so whiney People that make me cringe Daye Stuckey Ben Gordon Robert Sacre Austin Rivers
TOP 3 Chaz - I cannot stand the sight of him and he smells bad. Lebron - the aura of entitlement is disgusting Blake Griffin - I cannot stand the post-dunk stare-downs followed by the complete wussy play on the defensive end. He's got balls the color of steel, but they're actually two my little ponies duct taped together. Generally dislike: Wade, JR Smith, Melo, Iverson, Vince Carter (the later years), Sideshow Bob, Matt Barnes, Captain Jack, Coach Tablecloth
I can think of no mid to late 80's Celtics that arn't on the list.... They also had the ugliest team in the history of any sport IMO. :P Wade for all his antics yet still the media's darling..... Thats about the end of the list for me.... I don't like James, but everything he has done has been for my entertainment save when he went for 26? straight in the playoffs against us, and for that.... I blame the Pistons not him.
[I think I remember starting a thread like this a couple years ago.] Tied for 1st (active guys): - Carmelo Anthony (overrated, cowardly, malcontent) - LeBron James (I still choose to accept the LBJ's Mom/Delonte West story as FACT!) - Elaine Wade (needed to be carted off the floor in a wheelchair for a shoulder injury? ...really?) - J.R. Smith (I was in line behind him at Moe's Bagles in Denver once and he was a butt-wipe to the girl behind the counter. He played the "don't you know who I am?" card and the cute little goth chick blankly stared back at him and told him "Dude, I don't watch football.") - Mike Beasley (watch the documentary film "Gunnin for that #1 Spot")
While I respect all of your opinions, it's time to go to the official source on this: The NBA's Most Disliked Players - Most Disliked NBA Players- Forbes
I'm in agreement with almost everyone on that list. I actually like MWP ever since he's been seeing a shrink. He rarely takes a play off and I like the fact that he doesn't give boring predictable answers when he's interviewed.
I was surprised to see Tony Parker on the list, but it apparently has more to due with him sleeping with the wife of a former teammate. I don't watch a lot of Clippers basketball, but in the recent game I did watch, I was surprised to see how annoying Blake Griffin can be. He is constantly talking trash, stirring up trouble, and making borderline dirty plays.
