54-28 we still have one of the best starting fives the bench is alot better f.murray delfino j.max mcdyess those the guys thats gonna really play dupree/will play only if thers a injury amir/wont play this year the furture davis/only if theres foul trouble hunter/will play more then the others guys i listed baylock/wont play at all its gonna be a nine man rotation i bet you
52 wins. 7 man rotation and we will be crying for Jmax like we did for Delfino.
From the facts that several of the teams in the east are better; the Pistons might not be able to keep going with their very lucky lack of time lost to injuries; the bench is not better, even when you consider just the few who will actually get on the floor; the Piston managerial strategy will not be much different. All this leads up to the fact that with another year of age on the starting 6, they will probably not break 50 wins. I think about 48-34 would be about right. It might be a little better if they do not start out with that giant winning streak so that more players can get involved during the actual games themselves. No, I think about 48 wins would be right, and they are at the bottom of the top four going into the playoffs.
Thank goodness for the forum Search feature so I could locate my last prediction. 53 and 29 But I was assuming Indy didn't get any better and that Cleveland might not resign Gooden. Oh-fer on the assumptions so far.
I love looking for patterns in data. Let's see here: Rick Carlisle: 1st season: 50-32 2nd season: 50-32 Result: Fired Larry Brown: 1st season: 54-28 2nd season: 54-28 Result: Fired Flip Saunders: 1st season: 64-18 2nd season: ??? Result: ??? If the pattern continues, the Pistons will finish 64-18 again this year and then Flip will be fired after the season...
I agree with "hack" and even though we don't have the best star in basketball we do have (with Nazr) the best starting 5 in the league... Now... Let us ... That I am right
Hey, it's hard to argue with tradition. Pretty funny, I didn't realize RC and LB had identical year to year records. If we straight line the records we could be looking at an undefeated season, certainly an all time record for wins.
You know I think I could live with that. If the firing part was absolutely for sure.
You know, I think we could actually do with a couple of minor injury concerns early in the season for a couple of our starters. at least the bench would get some playing time. half the amount of times you see a guy break out is when he has had to fill in for a starter who got injured. of course, i don't really wanna see any injuries but it would be nice to see some guys get a decent run and help the bench production. oh yeah, the record. well i still don't see the east getting any stronger from last season so i expect a 53-29 record.
I will be realistic here and say that it is probably to early to predict. I'd like to reserve my judgement/prediction after I see how the team meshes with Mohaamad in the middle and the new Fliplosophy during the preseason. Even though the preseason records won't prove anything, the way they play on the floor at the end of that 8 game stent will give me an idea of how many double u's they will win.
Rebounding has to be a problem this year. I will predict 49 wins and a 2nd place finish in the division behind the Bulls.
81-1 Drago Milicic will have one huge outing against us. (honestly, i think we'll have the 2nd best record in the East)
I like 58-24. I will go with that. 58-24 and a trip to the Finals.
Don't like to be a spelling/grammar nag...but didn't you mean to say 'Flipflopsophy'?
For the stats to be somewhat complete in referencing all variables to the Piston growth chart...Flip would have to get fired!
I am loathe to make a prediction. Have to think hard on this...
