Russel Westbrook is Stephen Marbury 2.0 almost the same player... good player.. kindve a chucker.. forces things too much.

He had 4 turnovers yesterday and that was probably why his coach took him out.. because he prob would have let the Mavericks back in the game.
I could see OKC trading him in the future for a true point guard, someone who takes care of the rock.. could you imagine Deron Williams with Durant?

Russel Westbrook is in no way the exact same player as Marbury.

Russel Westbrook is a superb defender, for one. He's nowhere the same player between the ears either.

Westbrook is only 22 years old (4.5 years younger than Deron Williams) finishing his 3rd year in the league, learning the most difficult position in basketball, and steadily improving every year.

22 points, 8 assists, and 4.5 rebounds ....and actually plays defense?

I hope for Kevin Durants sake the people in charge over there in OKC aren't hopping on this Marbury bandwagon, or they'll certainly bumble KD out of what will likely be an eventual championship.

I wouldn't trade Deron for Russ straight up. Not because of who I think is better now, but because I am pretty darned certain Westbrook be be the better of the two in 2017,2018,2019, and 2020 when him and Durant are peaking and Williams is eased into a secondary role and contemplating retirement.

Wow Thunder got jumped on. 40-19 now.

If they come back from this to win game 3 I'll be amazed.

    So flat. So, so flat.

16 point halftime deficit. How it's only 16....I don't know.

That's what I'm worried if the 2006 NBA Finals matchup happens again this year. Heat's quickness on D will pose a big problem to the Mavs if nobody else other than Dirk steps up. I doubt Terry will be effective if Wade is on him.

That's why my hopes are on the Bulls to knock the Heat off.

GO BULLS! (can't believe I say that).

P/S Does anyone agree with me that Harden has the ugliest beard in the NBA or of any major sports league in the universe?

I agree on the beard, and I mostly like guys with beards, his is very odd shaped or something, and too much of it, he's gotta be the only one that thinks it looks good.....

In that 1st game in OKC, some fans were waving "Fear the Beard" signs. So lame.

Dallas obliterated the OKC in game 3. Let's see if they can do it again. That is turning out to be a very interesting series.

I'm also impressed with the play of Tyson Chandler. That dude can catch the ball in traffic.

Against the Heat? Who knows? They're too old to run with the Heat, but the Heat have no answer for Nowitzki. It's going to boil down to how Stephenson and Marion handle defending Wade and LeBron.

    OKC...greatest choke job since???

17-2 run to force OT and then the Mavs put them away afterwards.

To many outside jumpers by Durant after Harden fouled out. The two man game by Westbrook and Durant was horrendous.

I just googled the word Clutch and Dirks picture popped up. Hopefully he still plays that way vs the Heat and the Mavs becomes America's team like the old Cowboys..

the refs will never let Kidd and Marion play Lebron or Wade as aggressively as they have played Durant; worse yet, should Lebron decide to be heroic and check Dirk he'll never foul out.

I fear this years finals is about to get sickening.

Now that was one heck of a combination of german clutchness and major choke job. If the young Thunder turn this around after taking a hit like that I'd be mighty impressed.

Stuff like this looks a bit sillier when it's succeeded by a monsterous chokaroo instead of a superbowl win. :pound:

That is my fear also. Although in a Miami-Dallas finals, the story of old dudes taking revenge might be just as appealing as the glitter of south beach primadonnas. Depends of what Stern feels like I guess. But, that's just crazy talk. It'll probably be one of the worst officiated finals ever.

Dirk is playing some legendary BB. He's reached a level of star that I didn't think he was capable of. He might be as unstoppable a player as I've ever watched.

Most people do not like the Heat - why would the league want them to win? I would think it would be the popular thing to have Miami lose.
