Portland is possibly the only team to stop the Lakers and they lose game 1 at home to the Rockets by 20+ Just like the Magic did not want to face the Pistons, the Lakers don't really want to see the Blazers...but Kobe made a public statement to bring em on
It's only one game, but everyone expecting big things from the Blazers this time out may have been seriously overestimating how far they can go this time. This is the first playoff appearance ever for all of their core players.
They did get beat pretty bad last night. Yao Ming played real well for them. I wonder how Tmac feels, Rockets might finally get out of the first round and he's not even playing...talk about an ego crusher.
Did TMac have surgery? I can't remember, but do the rules allow for him to come back and play in the second round if he is healed??
I am actually rooting for Houston to win that series just so McGrady is exposed even more of being the fraud that he is.
Man watching CB light it up here with Denver just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. This is one hell of a physical game though. These teams clearly don't like each other.
Yeah, he had microfracture knee surgery in late Feburary. I'm not sure about the rules on that, but he won't be ready anyways. It's gonna be real hard for him to come back his body has taken a beating. But yeah if they win this series that will probably just crush him.
Billips can hit the 3 ball, huh. The Pistons sorely lack three ball shooting post Billips. Joe please get a shooter... I am rooting for Billips. His game tonight shows just how good the Pistons were when the Wallaces were younger. Two more trumped up teams bite the dust: Portland and New Orleans.
I'm rooting for the Nuggets too. It's be nice to see Billups succeed. I'm also hoping for a deep run by the Jazz, but it really doesn't seem likely. Without home court, they can't get past the Lakers. Too bad.
