This guy rebounds and shoots triples.
...maybe he's some kind of skid-row version of Ryan Anderson.

Ryan Anderson might actually be an ideal compliment to our current stable of big dudes.

I like a guy that is tall, can shoot threes and can wave a good towel for my 15th man. Perfect signing.

You just need to learn how to wave a good towel.

Ryan Anderson Stats, Bio and Game Logs | NBA.com

I "discovered" this guy just before he "blew-up" a couple years back in one of my fantasy leagues when he was playing for Orlando (The secret is out now. He's a solid NBA big dude!)
He was one of the league leaders in 3s and spread the floor nicely so D-Ho could operate inside. The thing that I liked about him was that he always seemed to get around 10 rebounds per game while being a total weapon from the outside on offense. Anderson has double-double potential with the rare ability to snag boards and rain three-pointers.

He's basically what Charlie Villanueva would be if he had any heart, integrity and work ethic.

I really think Pelicans are going to trade Anderson for Omer Asik, as it would make sense for both teams. Rockets get the old magic combo of Anderson-Howard, and Pelicans can switch Davis to PF where he belongs.

That would be a good trade for both rosters.

For me the big question for that trade is:

    And when Howard sits?

It makes sense for 25-30mpg, the amount of time Anderson and Howard would be playing together. But what about the other 18? If the Rockets keep Asik, they have a fiercely good defensive centre for 48mpg. Who else in the league has that - no more trashy interior defense when the second units come on. It also gives the ability to run a 2-3 zone when McHale wants to disrupt a run.

I think Asik and Howard can work together, keeping in mind they will only see the floor, together, for maybe 10-15 minutes.
