Siva may get a few minutes with all of the injuries, but he isn't ready to be a starting PG of an NBA team.

Siva's 48 minute preseason stats (11 ppg 9 apg). Seems to have good blood flow and quick hands.

Good point. Actually, after I posted this, I read how Mo would prefer to keep players in their natural roles. That is, instead of moving a 2nd string guy to a starting position and a 3rd teamer to the 2nd team, he might actually start Siva in order to keep Bynum in his off-the-bench role.

Jim Leyland did the same thing. If a guy got hurt or needed a day off, he would insert a bench guy into that spot in the starting lineup instead of shifting everyone around.

Stuckey and Jennings are injured. Do you imagine old man Billups starting for us? Or throw too short Bynum out there vs. the likes of Wall and Beal? Anyway, what worked fine last time is Siva and Billups sharing the starting point guard duties - with Bynum and Pope coming in off the Bench. Could replacing Billups with Pope as a starter really be all that bad. Fact is, by the end of that game we were pairing up Bynum and Billups a lot. Not that I am saying its a good idea to play Bynum at all in this particular game, as it might be better to wait until we play a team like Minny, where Bynum can come in and guard Barea, someone no taller than him.

My guess is Billups will start and end games with someone else playing in between. Something like 20-28 MPG for him.

You do realize that Siva and Bynum are the same height?

It's heart, not height that makes Allen Iverson an All-Star and Darko Milicic an amateur Carp fisherman.

What exactly did he do to hurt his back? Too much time walking on the beach?

They are listed at the same height. They are not the same height. Not even close. Next time you see a game, look, you will see for yourself.

Good a guess as any. Me, I expect it will matter how close the game is. Here is a rotation for this game with Billups starting.

This is just for the next few games, before Jenninigs gets back:

Start: Billups, Pope, Smith, Monroe, Drummond

2nd unit: Siva, Singler, Mitchell, Monroe, Harrellson.

Intermediate unit: Siva, Pope, Mitchell, Smith, Drummond.

The last two televised games, both of which I have seen many times at this point. Glad to watch a real one tomorrow night.

No. Read my reports sometimes. Its in there. I use opposing players, seeing how a particular player measures up against each of Bynum and Siva. (By the way, you do know that Atkins was 5-7, and listed at 5-11? Do not believe the listings. Look for yourself.)

Who has more blocks in their NBA career? Yep, you guessed it. Will Bynum.
