at Washington Wizards Wednesday Feb 27 2013 - 7:00 PM EST Verizon Center, Washington, DC TV: Fox Sports Detroit & League Pass RADIO: 97.1FM GO PISTONS!
The game is at 7:30 PM ET according to the DetNews and not 8 PM which didn't seem right for this game.
Based on our recent and play and theirs, they should be favored in this one. The return of John Wall has definitely put a pep in their step. We seem to be tanking regressing and it seems to point to the fact that there is no Drummond ...or Daye , coming off our bench to spark the defense, put in a dunk or in the case of Daye...no every three game streaky long ball shooting. Besides, CV is in what appears to be month long slump ...maybe he misses Tay.. I would be surprised if we win this one without Knight,,,,but I will be rooting for our boys as usual.
Per Keith Langlois: Brandon Knight will play tonight. The Pistons are 14-2 versus the Wizards over the last 16 games. Forward Martell Webster: "I believe there's some sorcery going on. That's the only thing that can explain this." "Can't control everything in life....sometimes you just need to relax and have faith that things will work out." - Khris Middleton. Go Pistons!
TRG may have the worst rebound rate of any seven footer, ever. As raw as BK7 is (at least in my opinion) he gets things done on offense. And he's the only player on the team that can create things on his own without the help of Calderon.
Stuckey will sub in and we will lose control of the game, but right now the ball is moving NICELY, and the shots are falling. My body is so ready for Drummond to return, as this team desperately needs a third big who can actually play, not two number 5 bigs and BoT. Beal can play
We have four players active tonight that have worth. And one of those did NOTHING (Bynum). A very obvious attempt to sandbag and troll Joe Dumars' and his awful roster by Lawrence Frank. He let them play for five minutes and watch them piss away the huge lead. Next year, at least act like you freaking care. Resign Calderon, and shore up the backup 4 and 5 positions in Free Agency. Millsap. Pay the man. He is good for 28-30 bruising minutes, and alongside Monroe and Drummond, opposing teams will start to give a crap about playing the Detroit Pistons. There is no magic signing, not when you are Detroit, and we are not contending for a title next year regardless of what happens. But that man is Pistons DNA, and unlike Maxiell, he has game.
Wizards earned it the hard way. Pistons are not very good, and they showed it down the stretch. Bynum should never be on the floor unless he is playing PG. Having him off ball while running down the shot clock has to be the dumbest thing I have seen this year.
Some amazing individual performances by Monroe, Knight, and Calderon built enough of a lead to afford the Pistons a few mental lapses down the stretch and still secure the win.
