Detroit Pistons vs Washington Wizards Tuesday October 19 7:00 pm Local TV: Nat'l TV: Radio: 97.1 FM The Ticket
No TV for this game either? Man...does anyone other than me wonder what the League has been thinking over the last 5 years? It seems like they have essentially hidden the preseason from the public. Did something happen, that I missed, in recent years to bring this on? I used to look forward to the preseason getting started. It kind of let you know what to expect from your team this season. Seems like you get less than half of the preseason on TV now...or is this just because I'm not in MI?
Since NBA TV isn't available overseas (atleast not in Sweden) and the International League Pass is still unavailable there is no legal way to catch preseason games at all here. Not even the free radio pass works here. I would gladly pay a small sum instead of having to rely on veetle, atdhe and sites like that but the NBA just won't let me.
I agree. This is disappointing. I'm not sure what the trend was in previous years, but I'm only seeing 2 preseason games this season on Fox Sports Detroit.
I heard on WWJ a bit ago that Bynum and Wilcox are game time decisions due to sore hammys. Now, Wilcox, he simply is never healthy, not yet anyway as a Piston. I see coach is thinking all wrong. No, there is no deadline. Competition for playing time can, and should, extend into the season. Further, as to power forward minutes, Summers is on the team too. Not to mention him when it comes to who is competing for minutes there is to ignore reality. No, Daye did not all the sudden go from someone barely sizeable enough to play small forward in the NBA to being able to play power forward without getting hurt. Further, Ben Wallace is just getting older. He should be playing less minutes, and after that, hey, there are plenty of minutes to go around. Assuming Diogu does not make it into the rotation, and Wilcox also never gets healthy, we just have 3 guys who can play any center - Ben Wallace, JMAX, and Monroe. That is not much in way of depth. At power forward, without injury, you can add Summers and CV to the mix, to come to a total of 5 bigs. About just right. For now, they can all play around the 20 minutes range, and let it shake out over the course of the season about who gets minutes when and in what player combinations. Around playoff time, at earliest March 1, is the first time you should be talking about shortening up a rotation. Why put this post here? Last year, at this very time, Kuester announced he was done, and from then on the regular season rotation would be out on the floor. This season, he is apparently pushing this poor thinking two whole games out. Not much improvement over a year. Basically, I doubt he is trying to learn. Hard to learn if you don't think you need to. Guess, what, year 2 does not make Kuester a veteran coach. Someone should let him know: The season is a marathon, not a sprint. Take it easy on trying to make March decisions in October.
I see us losing the rebound and battle of the paint everynight with the bigs we have especially of Ike and Wilcox spend most of their time riding the pine..
Woohooo! For all non-americans, the international league pass is now available. I have just ordered mine and I'm eagerly awaiting the Pistons game. No more atdhe, veetle or other crappy streams.
