Well folks this is it! We're 5 games out of the playoffs going into this game, we need to win the next 3 (Port, Atl and Indy) to even have a shot at the playoffs, this upcoming week is do-or-die in terms of making the playoffs.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a 30+ point performance from Aldridge tonight. Don't think this team is capable of slowing him down.

Good call. Monroe may have to come up big to give us a chance.

Maybe a job for a well rested Maxiell? Gotta get physical.

Bill, I happen to know that you are secretly hoping for Aldridge to explode, due to a conflicting interest. ;)

Very observant of you (for a change), Darth. It is no secret. My fantasy team needs to wake up fast or I will end up during the postseason where you normally like to hang out (the consolation bracket).

I wouldn't mind a guy like Aldridge on the Pistons roster. Not at all.

Poor decision at the end forcing up a 3-pointer with lots of time on the clock. It was funny to hear the crowd boo when Stuckey checked in for Bynum with a minute left (even though it was probably a good defense-for-offense substitution).

CV shooting an air ball and throwing the ball away didn't help any either.

I don't really enjoy watching a game when the opponent has a guy who scores 36 points on 17 shots. It makes the end really predictable.

Every time we scored and got all excited, we ended up having to bear-hug Aldridge at the other end. And he's almost an 80% FT shooter.

It's really obvious that the Pistons' problem is a poor allocation of resources. Our talent is just way too spread out. It's wasteful and redundant because we can only put 5 guys on the court at one time.

If Kuester's directive from the top of the house was to tank, how would he do it? The tank lineup is just as effective as the starting lineup.

By the way, Stuckey's laughing in the final minute on the bench didn't come off well.

As always, I got to disagree with you. All Kuester did by that substitution was throw off Wilcox at the free throw line.

Taking over? He did his bit, I will give him that. And then what did he do - repeatedly take it an awaiting Portland team and got nothing. His magic tricks had been spent - it was time to put in the starters around the 5 minute mark - unpopular or not. No way I will blame this on Bynum though, its on Kuester, as a coach, to see what is going on in a game and adjust to the reality of the game, not some fantasy in his mind.

I don't understand at least getting T-Mac and Prince back in there late in the 4th. BG was heating up but it was all the Will Bynum show. Its great when he sparks the offense but you also have to get the ball in the hot hand. Dumb shots and dumb plays to close out that game. And no one getting back to check Aldridge.

    I didn't notice that.

I did notice his frustration with Kuester for subbing him in for Bynum in that last minute though.

The substitution caused the missed free throw? Perhaps Wilcox being a poor free throw shooter (54% over the last 3 seasons) had something to do with it?

Wilcox is a great FT shooter. He makes 100% of his crunch time shots, 54% of the time.
