First game I'll watch live this season, and only the second one after the opener against Memphis. I'm hyped, looking forward to seeing Jerebko and Daye in action. Also hope CV will pick up where he left off in the 4th quarter against Orlando.

    Lets go Pistons!

I have had sprained ankles before, but it seem to alwats heal within a couple of days. You have to wonder why the Pistons didn't just say that Rips ankle was severly sprained anlke and he would be out for 10 days or so. This day to day BS may be a ploy to keep the other team guessing, but the fans are frustrated too.

The good is the younguns play, but coach K needs to insert Sommers in there too to see what he can give us.

Hopefully my DVR tapes a win this morning. Go Pistons

    :fingerscr - Needed that one.

Pistons win with effort, solid D - for the most part, and offensive boards.

Complete contrast to last year on Sundays.

Good gutsy win. Jerebko again got the start, and looked pretty good defensively against a bunch of quick Philly players. Ben got 15 boards, 10 in the first half. As usual, he was helping them dribble too. JMAX just played his D. Hit a jumper. a Daye looks comfortable enough out there, but so far mostly he is missing his outside shots. Good active D.

Villanueva and Gordon between them gave us a whole lot of points tonight. Something like 37. (Guessing. Maybe a little more.)Bynum had quite the night with a triple 8. Stuckey? Nothing great but solid enough play.

Wilcox did not play. No Summers. No Atkins.

Kwame played perhaps just a bit too much. It got down to where he was not getting back on defensive plays, and we wre not posting him up. In other words, he had no purpose being out there at times. But he did show a bit of improvement overall in this game as far as taking advantage of smaller players out there guarding him.

Philly has a lot of talented shooters not afraid to shoot. Detroit withstood a barage of made shots in the 4th, continually finding a way to answer themselves. No one Piston ever dominated the scoring for us, though Gordon was the closest to trying that.

No more time for me to write. See you all next time.

Great podshow, thanks to SJAndre and NYP for keeping us company. The Low, Max and I. Make sure you download it in a day or two when The Low gets the high quality version up.

This was a pretty good game although I missed a fair bit of it.

Amazing line from Ben. It's almost like he never left.

Mostly positives to take out of this game...
It looks like Kuester has a more disciplined defensive game plan... the rotations are timely... with the youngsters knowing when to show and recover (causing several t.o.s by the Sixers)...
so far the defense being better than advertised is one of the biggest stories of the early season.

Stuckey was actually driving and dishing early on... Bynum also a willing passer... Coach K said that improving assist and t.o.s will be a pimary focus.

What can you say about Big Ben still being a disruptive force? Phenominal.
Maybe he has a spot as a defensive coach once he retires.

I like the way lil Ben gets to loose balls... he seems to always win those battles.

Brand wasn't much of a factor today.

Gotta say it's nice having a big that can finish in the post (CV)... just have to turn your head and cough when he's on D.

It was my 2nd "live" Pistons game (well, more refreshing than live but...) so far I have noticed improved rotating: guards are "reading" eachother better and it did not become abusing penetration by opponents so common last year and preseason this year.

Good to see that guards are learning where are Charlie's sweet spots and giving ball to him.

Gordon does what he wants to do ( its not success every time but will is there) and so far nobody has been able to stop him.

Jerebko and Daye are showing what was and is wrong with Amir and Darko. Dumars must be pleased this time.

Saw only the last 5 miniutes. You have to like what Ben's doing. He's not getting all the rebounds, but he keeps a lot of balls alive. Some of our physical guards - Stuckey and Bynum - are gonna be able to clean up some of these loose balls.

You're post about Ben Wallace is offensive.
    It's trash.

You seem to be suffering from some type of digestive problem and it's impacting your capacity to view, think and type clearly. Upside is it's not a tapeworms, cause it's pretty obvious you're full of XXXX..
