With the Lakers limiting Kobe's play to begin the season and Bynum still sidelined recovering his surgery, the Pistons may be able to upset the defending champs.

It's good to [STRIKE]be the king[/STRIKE] win a ring.....In addition to Lamar hooking up with Ms Kardashian, even the Lakers scrubs get some action as it has been confirmed that reserves Shannon Brown is engaged to R & B singer Monica and Sasha Vujacic is now engaged to tennis cover girl Maria Sharapova.

The key to beating the Lakers is slowing down Shaq.

The winner and still the undisputed champion....The LA Lakers

For the Pistons, no Rip? no win, No DEFENSE? no win. Stat of the night...Lakers 55 rebounds, the Pistons 41..:yellowprison:

The pairing of Max and Big Ben proved no contest for Lamar and Gasol as they scored at will over our twin towers

Last seasons free agents had their worst night....since last season with Bengo going 3-11 and CV going 2-11 , each scoring a modest 8 points.

Stuckey sure sucked out there, on both ends, especially after that first quarter.

As much as I wish it were not the case, Stuckey remains as inefficient as he was last year 17 shots to get 18 points. Into year 4 and his offense still hasn't improved since his rookie year. I'm waning on my support of him right now.

HOLY TOLEDO BATMAN!!! To be fair, EVERYONE SUCKED. But as I was watching the game and growing extremely frustrated with Rodney I just knew if I posted it you would rip me a new one of defense of him.

This game brought me to the realization that we have the best 2nd string in the entire NBA. Our 6-10 players will beat the crap out of everybody elses 6-10. There is not a 2nd string unit in the league that can match up with ours, problem is..........our starters are actually a 2nd string unit too. We basically have 10 2nd string players on this team.

GREG MONROE DUNKED THE BALL!!!!! ............................. barely

Yeah our so called starters can be manhandled by any team...I'm thinking the Spartan starters would even beat them in a seven game series.

First half ~ Lakers Starters 54 pts, Pistons starters 28...

    second half..Laker starters 27- Pistons starters 23

The only positive?? Pistons won the second half 45-44....

Monroe didn't come out until the 4th qtr right and played the whole quarter and the last 3 mins with Wilcox....maybe the coach should start those two in the next game to shake up the front court.

    Start Gordon/Stuckey at the guards
Daye at the 3 and Wilcox at the four
    Monroe at the 5.

Tay, Ben and Rip can off the bench like they deserve with CV, Tmac Max and Bynum

No I didn't think this was a game we would win unless Gasol, Kobe and Odom all went down with injuries or did their best Rip Hamilton imitations and got ejected 4 minutes into the game ....... what a punk move that was, c'mon dude! Can you not be so obvious with your "I don't care about this team anymore" attitude.

Back to the Joggernaught, the thing that really upset me was his lack of competitiveness against the better teams. He's not Derrick Rose or Rondo, I get that, I accept that, I mainly compare Stuckey with OKC's Russell Westbrook, and Westbrook would have went HARD for 40 minutes and competed win or lose. Stuckey never fought through a screen or even contested a jumper on the defensive end, HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! But again, tonight, EVERYBODY SUCKED!!!!!

It's funny because of this teams composition they really need to be micro-managed, for instance Austin Daye, we all know how bad he sucks playing PF, but he's really no better defensively at the SF spot either. If you have a SF that moves without the ball or likes to slash, he'll toast Austin. On the other hand if you have a SF that you have standing weakside to space the floor, that's a perfect matchup for Austin, it's up to the coach to recognize when to use our personnel to be successful.

I hear you, but that is typical of Rodney. He's not good at contesting perimeter shots, often not even bothering to meekly get his hand up to contest. He's far better at defending the drive and the post, even against bigger guards. On the perimeter, forget about it.
