Mavs lead at halftime 48-46 in a battle of three pointers in the closing minutes.

Dunno why those radio streams don't work in Sweden. I'm following the game thru stats on NBA.com.

Looks like T-Mac will sit the whole game tonight again.

You know you're a diehard fan if you track down a web site that is broadcasting radio only of a preseason game.

I actually had this website bookmarked from last year and the show TV shows and all sporting events either via video or radio.

I am not going to give a play by play as I have my laptop turned low as I am watching Undercovers on the real tube.

Score still close with about 6 mins left in the third Mavs up 61-56

Pistons lose out to the Mavs in Grand Rapids tonight 101-96. It was a close game most of the way until the Mavs stretched it to 9 point lead with about 6 mins left in the game and the Pistons had to play catch up from there, but couldn't get any stops despite Ben Gordons 13 point 4th qtr heroics.

Both teams relied on the long ball with the Pistons hitting 12 of 30 and the Mavs hitting 9 of 22. Unfortunately what ever Piston that checking Steve Novak dared him to shoot the three and he made them pay hitting 6 of 10 and scored 11 pts in the 4th.

Austin Daye had another good game leading the Piston in scoring with 16 points. The Piston back up guards of Bynum and Gordon each chipped in 15 pts.

As good as the backup backcourt was and Daye, the Pistons were killed in the paint 38-20....as rhe coach suffering through injuries and age will have need to shore up that front court as they transition into the actual season.

2-2 and still searching for an identity....

Nice to see Daye keeping it up. Thanks for the recap, Dre.

Monroe's weak rebounding is concerning me. Not the kind of big man we needed IMO. Hopefully he'll make up for it with dazzling passes and make me a believer.

I'm just naturally biased toward rebounding and shot blocking bigs.

Had to miss another game due to college. Just read the log, a few comments on the game. Not much, but in all, it did not seem the Pistons did too badly tonight. Got to question all the small ball though. Rip at small forward. Daye always at power forward, never at guard where he might do some real damage. We did play a small forward backup this time, Summers. Thats progress.

Of note, Bynum was the minutes leader. Our shortest player. He did hit some 3's. I see both him and Stuck trying to extend their ranges.

Are we short of bigs as some have suggested on some of the boards I read? Only preseason, and some guys are playing light minutes. Can't tell much from that. Looking at the foul situation, we had tons more minutes we could have gotten from Monroe, Ben Wallace, and JMAX. Not to mention Summers could have gotten some power forward minutes too. We just are choosing to play Daye at power forward, simple as that.

Dallas sat half their fire power for this game.

No TMAC yet again. Diogu remains at 6 minutes floor time for the preseason, just 2 minutes behind TMAC.

Somebody is getting cut soon. Wilcox ain't played minute one yet.

Sounds like a good idea for a t-shirt.

I knew they would be throwing Daye at PF. More Rip at SF. Probably Prince at PF soon to follow. Actually forgot this game was on.

I do not think that we must read too much from preseason games.

coaches want to see how X player reacts on Y situation and that is it.

Identity and all this rap - this is for ready teams.

Remember that the Lions were undefeated in preseason the year that they went 0-16 in the regular season.
