I've seen Kobe greet and chest bump other players after games. I suppose the prayer at mid-court that follows some games is a sign of ...
For fans to criticize how a player interacts with the other team after the game is nothing other than selfish. So you'd like Stuckey better if he was a sore loser? It sounds like nitpicking cause you don't like the guy.
Isiah kissed a man at center court and he was as cut throat as it gets. I worry more about all the guys that Stuckey chest bumps as he's driving toward the basket.
Everyone knew the Zeke/Magic kiss was one of those mafia things. The only thing gangsta about Stuckey is the Chef Boyardee he eats in the offseason.
You aren't directing this at me, are you? I'm like the only guy on this forum that likes Rodney Stuckey and that doesn't call for him to be traded every time he has a bad game. FYI, I've vented the same frustration when I've seen Stuckey laugh it up on the bench in blowout losses. That's just as bad to me, and it ticks me off.
I think a lot of people like Stuckey. Most people would just like to see him as a SG, perhaps a backup. He clearly isn't the starting PG of the future for a championship team. Played to his strengths, he could be a major player on a good team.
Yeah, I do and I won't deny that for a second. I can't even post in in-game discussions or chats because I can get too volatile... I wear my emotions on my sleeve. The shots taken at his character are completely out of line. Maybe, deep down I wish that was him hugging me after the games and not other players on the other team..? I didn't mean most (all?) of those things I said about Stuckey in this thread, just to clarify. I want him to succeed more than anyone.
Is it too late for you to buy tickets to the C's game? It would be awesome if you stormed the court after the game and admonished him for hugging Nate Robinson all the while looking for your own hug.
I'll come in on the side that I don't like Stuckey. I don't like the way he plays. I don't like seeing him on the floor. I don't like the decisions he makes with the basketball. He doesn't shoot well enough for me to be a full time shooting guard. To me, he's just another undersized player that Joe drafted and tried to move to a different position to justify drafting him. Just like with coaching... I don't believe in just sticking with what's not working because a clear replacement option hasn't smacked you in the face. Sometimes you have to make your destiny. Joe sure seemed ready to make his destiny when he gift wrapped the keys for Stuckey and shipped Billups off for Cry-verson. He plays like a guy that knows he has to get his stats up to hold the next team hostage for a big contract. Running over everyone is not a skill. His crunch-time play is beyond awful and I will be glad when he's gone.
On some days I have to agree with your points. It's just that in the back of my head I keep thinking that these are the same things that were said about Billups his first few years in the league.
