Thanks for the link. Spent time this morning trying to get nbatv so I could see the games. I'll be tuning in for info to pf.com and badboy summer camp for the Low's take on everything Pistons.

JMax "virtually intimidated his way into points."

    Love it!

    Free the Brahma!

Edited to add: can't wait for The Low's take.

"Maxiell brought his offensive intensity up a notch in the 2nd half and virtually intimidated his way into points. Maxiell used a number of shot fakes from the baseline to drive hard at the basket. On one play, Maxiell unleashed a monstrous one-handed slam that brought the crowd to their feet and scared the daylights out of the Washington frontline."

    From the same article:

"Johnson is playing at a much higher speed than last season which is indicative of the amount he absorbed sitting on the Detroit bench and applying it in practice."

I like Amir's attitude. Everything in print about him indicates he really appreciates having the chance to play basketball for a living, and brings that enthusiasm to practice every day. No drama or complications, just a kid having a great time working hard.

    Box score:

    http://www.vegassummerleague.com/box_score.cfm?game=61

Max needs to learn how to rebound.... Samb actually had a solid game (aside from the fouls) 9 points, 9 boards, and 3 blocks is more than I expected.

Acker seems to be the summer league all-star. Hopefully that will translate.

The box score has 2 points for "Martin Cleaves."

Ten points and 7 boards for Johnson, 15 and 4 for Maxiell, 17/7/3 assists for Acker, plus the aforementioned stats for Cheikh "Your Booty" Samb.

Every time I see an Amir stat line, I see a 60-70% FG percentage. This time it was 5 for 7. I love that. Making easy shots is not as simple as it seems, and this guy converts at a remarkably high rate.

If Alex Acker keeps this up he's definantly making the rotation:nod:. The key was TO's Pistons had only 5 while Washington had 19.

Woody, click the banner at the top of this page and you'll go to badboysummercamp.com, a second site that Roscoe and The Low put together for recaps of the Vegas Summer League.

Or click here for the recap of the Washington game.

Game recaps & stories can also be found in the General Discussion forum. If you need help finding those articles, they're marked with a special orange icon.
