    401-Tay has been rolled over....SWEET.

Unfortunately, our players are going to experience a fatigue like they've never known as they will now have to run an offense and move around and stuff without Prince there to palm the ball for 18 of the 24 secs.

    It seems official!!
Where is the Tay Prince apreciation thread?
And with Prince gone, we have no other player of our 2004 championship crew in the team. Thanks for everything. I mean it.

    I'm really happy!!

Very exciting. I hope we can sign Calderon to an extension. Strange that Tay bemoaned the lack of a veteran PG and now he is shipped out to get one in.

Great deal for detroit. Calde could mentor Brandon Knight,i´m m not sure if we could resign him, dallas wanted him last summer, but we have cap space, and complementary point guard with knight. it could be perfect.
Big deal,no austin daye, minutes for Jonas Jerebko or our rookies and first spanish player in detroit,i´m really happy,we must hope he will make better our young core and resign.
What SF we could target next summer? Corey Brewer would be perfect,Josh smith the dream at the four spot (Moose/Drummond/Smith inside would be perfect to return to elite teams in one or two years.
We have a lot of money to spend this summer and next.

I love Calderon. As long as he starts and gets starter minutes this is a good move.

Nice that we can take him for a month or two test drive before offering an extension.

So long, Tay. Thanks for the memory. Don't let the door hit you in the Kuester

Finally we get a true point. He made Amir look a lot better in Toronto and he will do the same with Monroe.

It's been a long time but this news prompted my first post in a bazillion years, seems like a good thing. What worries me is the statement I saw that 'this move frees up Detroit to sign a couple free agents this summer' - last time that happened Joe signed Ben and Charlie and we all know how that turned out.

EDIT - wow. looked up my last post from 2009 and it was about that Ben and Charlie signing that I last posted, hopefully Joe gets it right this time.

"CV's contract seems sort of reasonable and we need to improve our forwards, don't like BG's cost or chemistry unless another trade is coming soon. Who has Piston DNA? Who plays defense? Man, it is looking like a long road back to ECF, never mind the finals.

Sorry to be gloomy but this does not seem like the free agent class to be spending all our cap space on."

Would like to see some high light of Calderon - Amir on court connections.

What some people call over-dribbling is really just a whole lot of talent.

The things you miss when you tune into the game late.

I wonder if Joe would consider taking on salary in a trade now that he has more cap room?

I like Calderon but he is small. It will be interesting to see how the roster (Knight especially) shakes out eventually for the rest of the year.

Mikhail should absolutely get his own scroll at the top of the forum. He kills it with these and the summer FA rumors.
