To Chad Ford I say: Movements of impact define who we are.

Pretty good observations from these guys.
The only thing I diagree with is the bit about Mike Jordan getting over on Joe. I'm a little surprised that Stern didn't step in and veto that deal and accuse MJ of tanking the 2013 season.
Simmons needs to break out some game tape of Ben Gordan stealing large sums of money from the Pistons the last couplle of years.

Again, I hate to give a mid-1st round 2014 pick to Charlotte but you gotta do what you gotta do when you manage to stockpile this many bad deals on one team.

I really don't know who I'd take at this point. They might be overreacting by asking if these guys could play in the athaletic 2012 Finals (The Celtics were a quarter away from playing in it.), but maybe it does make some sense to take a 2 or 3 if they can compete like that.

In true Dumarsian fashion Joe has stockpiled a collection of small forwards who if combined wouldn't give you a complete player.

When it comes to JDs Piston career, this could well be "The Decision".............

Here's my armchair GM strategy based on a trade that Bill Simmons mentioned in an article:
    - Tay & #9 to Sac for #5 and John Salmons (and unfortunately his contract)
    - turn around and trade #5 and Rodney Stuckey to Houston for #12,#18 and Kyle Lowry
At #12: select whoever is left from: John Henson or Meyers Leonard
At #18: select Arnett Moultrie or Perry Jones (or Henson/Leonard if either of them are stil there for some reason)

    Potential 2012/13 starters:
    C/PF: Greg Monroe
C/PF: Meyers Leonard, or John Henson
SF: Perry Jones or Jonas Jerebko
    SG: Brandon Knight
    PG: Kyle Lowry

    bench:
    Singler back-up 3/4 - trade bait
    Jeb back-up 3/4 - trade bait
Salmons back up 2 - try and trade him but it'll be tough for now.
Will Bynum 3rd PG - trade bait
JMax back-up big - trade bait
Vern Macklin - back up big
    Corey Magette - back-up 2/3

We are potentially set with young studs at ALL positions.
We use our 2 2nd round picks on BPA type guys and hope one of them turns out to be a steal.
We swap 2 overpaid guys (Tay & Stuckey) for 1 overpaid (way overpaid) guy in Salmons. We can afford to overpay Salmons for a couple years as most of the essential guys on our team will be playing on rookie deals.
We get the best player in the deal in (Lowry) who has a damn good deal at under 6 million per for 2 more seasons. Having 2 PGs like Knight & Lowry is a nice problem to have. We can simply trade one of those guys away to fill a need at a different position or multiple positions. OR, we can turn BK into our starting 2-guard.

Celtics are trying to trade up for Austin Rivers. That would help those people that want to move down for multiple assets.
