Looks like we stopped the bleeding. Tigers win 7-3. A huge win for the tigs to get that losing streak of their backs. Dmitri and Vance had an excellent game, and Robertson did pretty good, made Ortiz hitless. The only thing is the white sox murdered the Royals.
Wait for tomorrow's matchup. Bonderman vs Schilling :eyebrows:

That was a big hit by VW.

Hopefully this gets us going again. It's nice when the White Sox lose, but if we take care of business we don't need to worry about them.

Big play at the plate by the Tigers in the bottom of the eighth.

Tate the Sox were desperate and it didn't work. They needed a bad throw.
Bonderman vs Shill, this would be no contest last year. I like our chances. Sox will have to deal with the Yanks starting Friday.

The Tigers go up against Schilling tonight. He's going for his 15th win, but he had his last start was bad (against the last place royals) He surrendered a season-high 11 hits -including 10 for extra bases - and five runs in 7 1/3 innings of a 5-4 loss.
Hopefully the tigers do the same type of thing, but get even more runs...

I wonder if Inge will swing at Schilling's high cheese? Inge is a sucker for the high, hard stuff. Bonderman will have his work cut out for him. I think Big Papi is tired of being in a slump.

Tigers win (so Red sox lose).

    White sox lose.

    All is well again.:bounce:

Losing Palanco is a huge loss, he always puts the ball in play, never strikes out (every 17 at-bats which is best in the majors), and is 2nd in the A.L. in batting average with men in scoring position(.374). Also, he rarely makes errors. The Tigers will keep winning, even without Palanco. They have a chance at the sweep tonight.

The Tigers lose 6-4. You can blame their pitching, the tiger's pitching staff walked a total of 9 batters (7 from Verlander, a season high)
Verlander needs to get back on track. The Tigers still took 2/3.

Exactly, they took two out of three in the toughest place to win in the major leagues. They also picked up a game on Chicago in the process. Thank you, Kansas City and go Tigers. Lotsa complaining on detnews about them. It was hard to believe they could keep the torrid pace up all season. I'd rather see them play subpar now and then come back strong late in the season. It's all about having momentum at the right time. See Houston Astros last season and the White Sox.

Maggs should've caught that shallow homer. Or maybe he shouldn't sacrifice the body!
The Tigs haven't swept Bosox in Boston in 23 years.
