They just can't seem to get over the 1o games over .500 hump. Every time they win 2 or 3 games together to get there, they lose two or three unexpected games to the likes of a team struggling 10-15 games under. Tiger fan won't be satisfied until they are 15+ games over the hump and have at least an 8 game lead in this weak division, which we are obviously a part of.....:cheeky-smiley-012:

On positive note, the Miggy became the first player in MLB history to have 30+ HR and 90+ RBI, prior to the all star break. How is that possible:noidea: well that is what it said at the bottom of the screen on the ESPN scroller.....

We punched back the Injuns so now they can relax.

Yeah those wins helped, but never is time to relax just because you are playing a lesser team. We loss 2 of 3 to the Sux and the Indians won 2 of 3, vs the Jays, so they gained another game on us.

Maybe they were looking ahead to their other nemesis rangers this weekend and relaxed vs the Sux....

Sox with the worst offense in the league crushed Tigers pitching including Sanchez and Verlander

The way that Leyland handled Victor Martinez is starting to pay off (i.e. leaving him in forever while he struggled to get his timing back).

    Average:
    last 28 days: .300
    last 14 days: .396
    Last 7 days: .522

He's been one of our best hitters over the last 2 months. Hit average per month has also increased each month this year.

For the season, he's 3rd in RBI's, 3rd in BBs, 3rd in HR's behind Miggy and Fielder in each.

He really stunk for a while an surely cost us some wins, but he's been the guy we hoped for lately. If he keeps improving and we make the playoffs, look out.

I wonder if the MLB is now playing more games before the All Star break than it used to. The Tigers have played 91 games already. They will end up getting 94 games in before the break. Remember, 81 games makes 1/2 a season.

Well we know they play darn near to Holloween because of the playoffs, but it seems like for the past few years...at least in this century the games are starting the first of of April...or even 3/31, where it use to be about week later.

Victor is a player with a very long very good track record who missed a year. He's not young, so just maybe it took him a while to get his bearings completely back. Although, even when he wasn't hitting all that much, he was still driving the runs in.

It is an absolute joy to watch Miguel Cabrera hit the baseball. I read somewhere that he only has about $200,000 a year in endorsements. I wonder if his drunken incidents scared away corporate types. It is too bad that he does not get more recognition.

Miggy's on base performance this season:

186 times on base in 90 games (> 2.0 per game!)

    On base:
    5- 5 times
    4- 7 times
    3- 17 times
    2- 25 times
    1- 32 times
    0- 4 times

So, the dude is more likely to get on base 5 times than 0 times.
