wHO WERE WE GONNA GET?? If we want Adam Dunn, we had to sign him. Beltre would have been too high a price and Inge DID lead the AL in fielding pct at third base. I'll take defense at third over defense at shortstop anyday, so lets go get Stephen Drew.

I'll take a lesser fielder that doesn't bat .237 with over 1,100 strikeouts. He's had more rally-killing at-bats than Darth has made dumb posts.

He's our Tom Brookens.

What about 2B, SS, and catcher? We have too many positions of crappy hitting.

I was taking a look for Tom's pitching stats. I swear I remember him coming in and pitching at least once when Sparky ran out of pitchers in the pen. Strange that baseball-reference doesn't show it.

Actually, Sparky ran out of catchers one game and Brookens had to catch. Ah, the good ole' days...

Ron Santo has died.

A great Cub player and announcer, and a great guy.

Chicago has lost a legend.

It was great to hear him talk about the Cubs. He lived and died with each game.
