#1 and 2 are completely valid opinions. You are hopelessly armchair quarterbacking, but still.

Re: Records set straight. You are a piece of work. You'll argue a position for a month and the next day say: "oh I backed off of that position".

I thought the Greek guy was the best player in the entire draft?

I think that you get the commitment from Iggy first. You agree in principle, and then create the necessary cap space to carry out the signing. If you amnesty CV and buy out Stuckey before you get the agreement from Iggy, it becomes an unnecessarily huge risk: if Iggy doesn't sign here, you are just shelling out $12M or so with nothing in return - at which point you'd feel obligated to sign someone, anyone really, and end up with another CVBG fiasco.

Both CV and Stuckey are expiring contracts this year. It gives us $16M worth of tradable assets. There is absolutely no value in cutting those two clowns just to cut them. If you're not gonna accomplish anything by cutting them, you might as well keep them in cupboard in case you need them.

For context - please review Pistons0809's posts in THIS game thread.

The well-being of Buck Cheever has been a major concern for many forum members (myself included) ever since "HooperGate".
I can only hope that the business relationship between 0809 and Mr. Cheever was able to withstand this "absolute shambles" of an experience.

He sign with the Warriors for less money than Denver offered him... DENVER, a Playoffs team... Why would you think he would come here? There are a lot of "ifs" in your theory.

And Burke is no way better than chalmers RIGHT NOW as you said.
Right now Chalmers is better than Burke. (at least, is my opinion, I respect yours)

With the exception of Blue, can we get a consensus that this is probably one of the top 3 Pistons offseasons?

sorry but the seasons before our first finals (be it a lose), and our two championships... and I was excited before 04, I remember Lee saying we should win the title that year (even though it was Darko, not Sheed being the missing piece). I was excited the summer we got Grant Hill too.

So... that drops this summer down to number 6 at best for me... but its the most excited I have been since the summer of 03.

The bad boys were just so damn special.... and I was still a teenager, rooting for a team that had never won anything... So I doubt this older man will ever be that excited again for the Pistons. This summer could still move up to number 4 with a great trade though...

It absolutely is for me. How many freaking times in the last 10 years have we worked ourselves up in a lather over all the possible offseason moves all for nothing? Some people are upset because not everything got done that they wanted to see, but they are forgetting that the norm around these parts is that the biggest off-season signings are our own draft picks and the occasional trade of a bench player for a 2nd-rounder.

Tbh, I went back to the 70s to find a better offseason and I thought it was a push the year we got Salley and Rodman, and the year we got Billups.

Granted, the results aren't in and won't be for 8 months or so, but man this has been an exciting offseason. Maybe the most exciting in PF.com history IMO.

Dumars aint off the hook yet. And if Burke blows up more than KCP I'll help Blu gag Panda with Panda's cereal spoon.

Hells yes! It started out shaky but its been solid so far. The jury willbe out for several years on KCP but his defense is NBA ready today. Mitchell and Siva are great guys to have in the development stream. Josh and IRF add to the Pistons storyline. The kicker is the return of Rasheed as assistant coach and Billups. I'm so excited for the season to start.
