Tonight I did a bunch of forum maintenance that is rather boring, but I wanted to post in case there are bugs or unresolved issues, you guys will know I was monkeying around. So 1. I changed the settings on the chat, so that only I can make new chats. That should help us from ending up with two chats on Game nights. Please use the General Chat, since it's rare we get even 20 people total chatting, it's nicer if y'all hang out as a group. 2. I upgraded the tapatalk mobile app system on the forum to the latest version, which had some fixes for the software we use. AFAIK, only Linwood uses the tapatalk app, but if anyone else wants to use the forum on mobile, this was for you. 3. I upgraded our enhanced Conversations system (private messages). That's it. I am also planning on moving the forum to a new server (because this one runs like crap and I am tired of trying to make it faster) sometime in the next 2 weeks. I will give notice, and hopefully there isn't more than 30 mins of downtime when I do it. Thanks for your patience and support.
I've been using the tapatalk app also but it doesn't credit me with posting from it when I have. #screwingme!
I've been using tapatalk on my tablet. Seems to work fine. One FYI, the full site on the tablet (Android) doesn't show the chat options at the bottom. And yes, I did have to look up what AFAIK means.
In tapatalk if I hit the Chat link (from the forums list) it opens a browser and takes me to the full site. There I see the two new links, but tapping either just reloads the Forums page. Neither takes me to the chat function.
Unfortunately, I think chat won't be available to mobile until someone sorts out their code. I will nudge both vendors.
