Check out question #4. The fact that one of the options is 97, even though the question is about the Dallas-Miami seriies, actually shows you how ridiculous the officiating was in the Maverick - Miami and Piston-Miami series last year.

And of course the answer was 97.

I can't believe that I am still upset over that. That officiating was worse than in the old Boston Gardens.

I took the quiz. My basketball IQ isn't that great, according to that test. I scored 11 out of 20. :(

Good thing I never declared myself to be a basketball genius! :pound:

Dwayne got an extra ~45 free throws against Dallas. Does this make the Mavericks the new Bad Boys?

I downloaded it. Why did you go with Bull instead of Brahma?

    Nice work!

I got 12 right. It's total luck because I know both of you know tons more than me about the game & the history.

I prolly woulda missed the free throw one, but Buddha gave me the answer.

I am all over it like a piece of wax paper (do they still make that stuff, I remember my mom used to wrap bologna sandwiches in that stuff) With a can of vienna sausages on the side. You guys are to young to remember that stuff[IMG]

I got my bologna sandwiches in wax paper too. Bologna and cheese on white bread, dip it in ketchup. :)

Hardly a day goes by that I don't have a craving for a little weenie sandwich with mayo on white bread, with a Dr Pepper on the side and some barbeque chips. In fact, I could use one right now.

re ESPN poll - I managed 12, but only because I got the 97 FTs right. And yes, it's still disgusting. It will be interesting the first couple weeks of the season to see if those kinds of fouls are still called.

re wallpaper - very cool. It's now part of my screen saver.

I am NEITHER a MIAMI or a Dallas Fan, (don't like Cuban alot) but I can say without any reservations that MIAMI DIDN"T WIN THE TITLE, IT WAS STOLEN from the MAVS by Stern's henchmen. There is NO WAY ANY REASONABLE PERSON could have watched that series and not felt that DALLAS WAS CHEATED OUT OF THE TITLE.

I'm not a Dirk fan, but that dude was getting CLOBBERED everytime he tried to get to the rim, while Wade was getting FTA's for tripping over his own feet. It was SICKENING. Never before have I witnessed anything SO BLATANT before. I can only hope that EVENTUALLY (hopefully sooner than later) the casual fans and hardcore fans "REBEL" against the NEW NBA and indicate that they aren't as happy with the "NEW NBA".

Personally, I felt like the playoffs became a GLORIFIED FREE THROW SHOOTING CONTEST. It was sickening. Call me when the REAL BASKETBALL RETURNS.

I scored less than 11 on the quiz.

The officiating in the Finals certainly left something to be desired. Stackhouse getting suspended for a game was also downright unfair.

What's sad is that people think the new rules are an excuse to deemphasize defense in favor of offense. That's a mistake. Lost in all that crap is the fact that the Heat played lock-down defense the whole time.

    DING DING DING DING!

    We have a winner!

The Heat played defense and rebounded. They played grind it out basketball when they were down in the series.

And they had Jason Williams and Antoine Walker in the starting lineup. If that's not proof that coaching matters, I dunno what is.

I'm ticked off that I've only got one screen while there are so many nice wallpapers out there  - my current desktop is the one that features Fino and the Argentinan sun! Maybe I'll soon give my screen a new dress so that Roscoe ain't got nothin to complain about :)
