Don Cheney is a former COY winner.
Somebody please explain to me how if Big Ben isn't "that big of a loss," as so many were quick to point out, and was such a detriment to the team's success that Flip would somehow be COY by finishing 10 games worse than the year prior?
Big Ben is a big loss to the Pistons on both defense and on the boards. The Piston coaches (Cowens, Porter, Harper, etc., not just Saunders) are trying to figure out how to get the team to play team defense and work collectively to get rebounds. Even the offense changes now that the Pistons are putting 5 guys on the floor that can actually make a jump shot. The way the Pistons play now is much different than last year. I believe they can be as good or better without Ben.
I believe it too.
