Bill Simmons tweeted that he has a "hunch" that the Pistons will get Cousins and they match up the best for a trade.

Andre would be the last guy on the team I'd trade. Man could we look like idiots in the short, medium, and long run by doing that. Monroe for cousins would be a maybe, but I'm afraid of cousins' attitude at this stage if our retool.

Probably his way of "jinxing" the Pistons to increase the chances of Boston landing him. If I recall correctly Joe was trying to trade up to get Cousins before the draft but he's got to give up either Monroe or Drummond to get him, right? Would he trade Monroe straight up for Cousins with the new character policy he's been employing? If he trades Drum I'm going to faint...

Imagine Frank trying to straighten up that guy with Chaz at his side compared to Doc and KG.

If I thought Cousins could play the 4 then I'd make the move for Monroe. He has been in a toxic situation since he's been in the L. I think being traded will be good for him.

I would love to see that trade happen! Boston would probably want us to take on a bad contract aswell, perhaps Jeff Greens in exchange for Maggette.

Isiah Thomas playing for the Pistons? That would never work.

Before Joe D gave away a 1st round draft pick for someone to take Ben Gordon from us, the last Dumars' trade was November 3, 2008 when he gave Chauncey Billups away for Allen Iverson.

If Joe D continues to trade at that rate, his next big move will come in the year 2016.

Be patient, Piston fans. Put that ESPN Trade Machine away for a few years....

But he has so much more trade value to offer than he did in 2008.............oh............never mind.

Rondo, Drummond and the kid who took out Jerebko - I'd watch that.

Also, CCG and KG fighting for the PF minutes.

Gores should pull the trigger without talking to Joe. Just sign the mail Joe Dumars, President of Basketball Operations and Ainge would instantly think he's getting a great deal. The clowns over at Sacramento would probably sign without reading the contract.

I agree, but ask yourself........would he be a better starting PF than Jason Maxiel? Would he be a better PF than Greg Monroe? I come up with Yes on both questions.

I'm not saying he can't play the 4, I just want to be sure. The Pistons have one chance to hit re-set.

The trade I really want is the Sheed one from '04. A definite 4 and a definite compliment.

So in essence, we DEFINITELY need an Andre Drummond Compliment at the 4; just like we definitely need everything also from PG to SF.

Maybe they don't. I think I just got used to thinking about Monroe possibly playing there and have been thinking of Cousins recently.

I can't believe I'm typing this, but I kind of like the team they're playing with Drummond. They have got to figure out how they want to play so they can address their roster. Modestly upgrade from some of these incomplete guys like Daye or CCG with a Steve Novac type.

One way to play would be to surround a great defensive talent with scorers.

Another way to do it would be to surround him with other great defensive players and great a black hole scenario where the laws of bball and the rules of the NBA break down within a certain radius of our Center. It's a pipedream I know, but man that would be awesome to create another epic bruiser team. Drummond might be too nice for that anyways- D Howard esque in his personality. Hopefully he's not a future Laker.

You have to have guys that can score the ball, ESPECIALLY in the playoffs. Nobody wants to dig down and play defense in game #31 of an 82-game season, but everyone will ratchet up their defense come playoff time. That's when you need a few guys that can put the ball in the hoop.

No way Lawrence Frank can handle an attitude like Cousins. On top of that, he maybe a bad influence to the young Dre. Unless we got guy like Sheed or Big Ben here to educate Cousins. Heck, this guy doesn't even respect a guy like Sean Elliot, you think he would listen to Sheed or Big Ben. Scary thoughts.

That would be classic Pistons management passing on the talent because he wouldn't mesh with Lawrence Frank.

    Cousins is a ferocious rebounder.

I would probably stop watching. I wouldn't give up Dre unless I was getting a LOT back.
