    This really closes the book on the Wings that re ignited the RedWings we all loved and cheered for as the deadwings were put to bed.... Stevie, Nick, the Russian 5... so many great memories in the 90's...

    Indeed.
    Although Nick was a Wing for 20 years, it seems like 50 years when I look back to where I was at in life when I started watching him. Nick's career pretty much bridged my punk college life to my current life as a father, husband and professional.

    ...#5 retiring makes me feel really old all of the sudden.

    I remember he retired in the late 60s....He played for at least 15 years.
