Amare Stoudemire is a chemistry killer.

That so far early in the season:

    New Orleans is 4-0
    Utah is 4-1
    Atlanta is 3-1

    and
    Dallas is 0-4
    Phoenix is 1-4
    and the Pistons are 2-3

I'm surprised, but not too surprised. I knew that this team wouldn't storm out of the gate this time.

Not really a surprise...but the future importance of mentor-ship for particular player development (Andrew Bynum via Kareem). The owners are clueless and leave it to Jackson to think about strategy... or... about the experience of eating a tangerine.

Want evidence. Read the interview by the Timberwolve's owner (Glen Taylor), VP (Kevin McHale) and indirectly, Kevin Garnett.

As already mentioned - the Maverick's start. I thought they would be angry and aching to get back on the court. Sure, Nowitzki had a long summer, but it's the rest of the team that looks out of it.

The new tech rule. Reading about it and seeing it in action were very different.
