makes the cover is jinxed. Let somebody else grace the cover. Leave Suh alone.
ESPN and Madden are doing a neat thing by allowing fans to vote for the cover of Madden. The finalist list includes Sam Bradford, Julius Peppers and Josh Freeman.
They are running the voting just like the NCAA tournament where you win and move on until a winner is picked. Some Lion fans have begun a petition to get Suh on the cover. Stop them. Make them stop and do not vote for him.
Here who has been on the cover of Madden in recent years and what happened afterward:
2001: Eddie George: Was one of the top running backs in the game. Afterward, he never averaged more than 3.3 yards per carry.
2002: Daunte Culpepper: Threw 23 interceptions and Minnesota slumped to 5-11 after being in the playoffs.
2004: Michael Vick: Broke his leg.
2005: Marshall Faulk: Never rushed for 1,000 yards again.
2006: Donovan McNabb: Tore his ACL.
2008: Vince Young. Became injury prone and is no longer wanted in Tennessee.
Now do you see what I'm talking about? Suh is one of the more menacing guys in the NFL. I don't talk to him in the Lions dressing room without a permission slip. I don't want him breaking a leg and breaking Lion fans hearts.
We must keep him off the cover of Madden 2012. Spread the word.
