At first, I was going to post the complete opposite, but then I actually thought about this: Detroit Pistons NBA stats and data from 82games.com Stuckey is the only guy on the team with a positive Off Court score. That means that the team is actually better when he's not playing (only Jerebko has a worse net on/off score). Shocker, right? The obvious solution is that Dumars needs to keep him around next season and make Frank not play him. Then the team will have a + rating. In fact, lock this guy up long-term - if him sitting his ass on the bench is an inspiration to the rest of the team, then keep the bum on the bench. If simply not playing Rodney Stuckey is the key to winning games with a mediocre team, think of how good they're going to be when Drummond comes back and they get that lottery pick this offseason! This is simple stuff, guys. Someone needs to get me Dumars' phone number. When Stuckey's contract is extended this offseason to the tune of $9 million a year, you'll know who to thank.
That is actually an amazing find and does tell a story. Nobody else on the team is really close to that. It means that without him on the floor, we've been a playoff team (in the East as least). The team does the worst when Singler and then Daye are missing, and then Dre.
Daye played little minutes, and he with Dre on court he had a nice season, so that's not a bit surprise. A big surprise is Singler, and it only shows that he really can be a nice 5th option next season in starting unit ( unless we draft Shabazzzzzzzz )
We have suffered through the bulk of his contract and nearing the final year with 4 mil guaranteed we may be able to move him. May have to throw in a 2nd round pick or something. I really do hope he is not a Piston next season. He has become the face of the Piston losing seasons, poster player for the era of losing.
Actually, I'm thinking that his contract has more value than one might imagine - another team can trade an $8 million contract for him, and immediately trim $4 million off their payroll. I'm curious to see how it plays out.
Its a huge sacrifice, but I think its the least we can do as a Team to help the Sonics get back on there feet..... :P
So your saying the 2nd coming of Wade isn't enough to make you forget about losing out on Durant.... And thats the last knife stab I'll do in the thread...
