is on FSD right now for anyone interested. Not sure but I think this is a live show with John Salley hosting a panel of Gores, Dumars, Frank, Monroe and others
It was a live show, a few weeks ago. I thought it was pretty good. Of course, a lot of salesmanship is going on trying to convince fans and investors that there is some sort of plan. You can watch this online if you miss it on FSD: State of the Pistons | THE OFFICIAL SITE OF THE DETROIT PISTONS
Yes, salesmanship...but it seemed sincere, for whatever that's worth. The title of others on the panel: 'Platinum Equity Partners' lol The new statistical position held by Charles Klask is something TaShawn and DBA have been doing here for years. The comments by Gores were interesting. Wanting people he could lose with. And, at the very end: "This is an unbelievable community. This is the heart of the Pistons franchise. We have to deliver on that. The future will be based on our hard work. Our ability to deliver on the core values we just sat and talked about. And actually, you don't have to believe us. We are just going to deliver it. I want to win. I want to win the right way. I have a great appreciation for the city."
Taken out of context, that doesn't sound good, but what he meant is that he wanted people to work through the losses with - people who could see what they were working towards and not just bring the rest of the group down after a few bad games (or a 4-20 start).
Yes, he explained the statement to make sure it wasn't taken out of context. But on a certain level it seemed like an excuse if things don't improve next season.
Are you kidding me? This guy lives for the closing line. One has to understand the staggered staccato of exhibition. The image of introduction, complete with visuals of cultural reproduction (but not too far back). The organizational explanation of the newly created line of managerial expertise, complete with the current line degradation of past higher hierarchal managers (now JD combined with Lawrence as lumpen proletariat) and always...always, with the right humanistic line of progress. We are on the move. Heard this one before? In closing, I want you to all remember: I care for you.
The master plan is to keep players who either cannot remain with a foreign national team or cannot articulate a coherent response to such a claim and hope that between that and fielding a team consisting entirely of Small Forwards and Greg Monroe supplemented with halftime shows by 90's one hit wonders, we can eke out another crappy draft spot to get yet another stretch 4 or combo guard. 2013...Pistons with the 10th pick.
