You see drummond's pregame workout that they put him through? No wonder he gets fatigued after 20 min. Let's see Monroe do that.
I heard they asked Drummond to hit the scoreboard with the ball and he fainted because he was so overwhelmed from the pressure.
If you think of it in Kanderian terms Jerebko really holds the Pistons record for getting his heel closest to the scoreboard.
Haven't seen him play live yet. Looking forward to watching him this Saturday against the Tar Heels. Lots of guys on the radar, the conference schedule will begin the separation process, the NCAA Tournament will solidify it, and then the scouts will screw it all up in the combines and pre draft workouts.
Since the start of this thread, the Pistons went 6-2 and the only two losses were both OT losses. If the Pistons keep this up, this thread will always be remembered as the turning point.
I was thinking more along the lines of this thread being remembered for the Pistons to narrowly miss claiming home court advantage in the 1st round, but still beating the Hawks 4-3. But your interpretation is probably more plausible.
We're not bad enough to get that pick. The 9th spot in the east is more than OK with me as I'm hoping to see Trey Burke become a Piston!
Yes, but Burke has yet to disappoint us, so we can still hold our unrealistically high expectations for him.
It could be worse. Dumars wanted Cousins. I like watching Monroe play for the Pistons. Cousin's own teammates have issues with him. Then Dumars wanted Biyombo. Knight isn't looking that great but he is improving. I'm going to wait until middle of next season to really write him off as a point guard. But right now he can shoot and move without the ball. He also rebounds well. His ball handling is improved but still needs a lot of work. What I like is that he doesn't have to dominate the ball to be effective and it allows Monroe to make decisions at the center of the wheel. I think we all wanted a breakout year but got an incremental improvement instead. For all the talk of Knight's shortcomings, Monroe hasn't taken a major step since that 2nd half of his rookie year where he looked like he'd be cut from the D league to being a decent starter in the NBA. Monroe was more impressive last year as he crashed the glass big time on the offensive end - at the start of the season. To me he's basically the same player but stuck in 4th gear. Still, there's been incremental improvement. He's more poised out there. As fans, we want that breakout player...or two or three. These guys are on their own schedule. I believe a big part of it is the overall make up of the team.
Maybe the Pistons should replace the props with humans in practice. After Knight split the brooms with his dribble, he pulled up for a soft J over blocko man.
I'd sub Blocko for Charlie Villanueva in any end-game defensive situations where the game was close. Blocko would have been the 2nd best big man on the 2011/2012 roster. I'd change his name to Blocko Millicic and have a jersey made up for him.
