Actually I have no problem with the coach having the final say. aslong as there not trying to do all the work of both jobs.... The coach is fired for mistakes that the gm makes? yep and probably not always the fairest shake they can get.

Why not add a third job as starting PG? Run the franchise, run the team, run the offense - full vertical integration. Stanley would be the second best guard on this roster.

Memphis owner clashed with the management and it looks like he's cleaning house. Bring those guys to Detroit. Stan, Levin and Fontanella can be our Bird, Pritchard and whoever Indys third guy is.

At first I thought his name was Larry Bird's right hand man, but then I realized it's Donnie Walsh.

    Another idiot owner.
Only those of exceptional talent will hold up their hands at the GM combine:
Sir, I am now the current voice box that speaks stretch 4 and this means that my talents will shine when you begin to understand the word... hegemony.
I will be coach and demand an ever so softer landing of that silent power:
you only need to gaze upon the snowflake's tremulous travels from above,
    in understanding it's gentle landing,
originating from those heavenly and darker dwellings,
    now whole,
    by wisdom, through
    time.

I decided to think the SVG hire over for a while after first hearing about it and have come to conclusion.

Yep, I'm still pissed Gores didn't hire Laimbeer

I think it's the combo of Gores acting quickly and SVG kind of coming out of left field, but there's been surprisingly little Laimbeer talk this time around.

    He wouldn't obey Isaiah.
That was a long time ago, though.

That's some BS about Sheed. Serves him right for showing some life on the sideline.
