    Excellent perceptions.
    A couple of things to remember: first, he has been out of the league for a couple of years; second, he has the aggressive itch to get back into the game.
    I have yet to read a professional article that mentions how weak the current crop of coaches that are now coaching. Perhaps some owners are looking for the new managerial- looking-glass types...called the stretch-GM (aka, President of Basketball Operations).
    Don't worry about Otis Smith. If elected (which I doubt), he would be nothing but a colorful coat-hanger.
    Stan's rushing to Monroe is good PR. Monroe's nightmare might be having Falk's dream come true with Mr. Max Contract becoming the next Steampunk reality factor.
    Good call on the guard situation. Like I mentioned before: if Gordon sneaks in, then Stan must make a Smart decision thus giving notice to Jennings.

    You mean people were just talkingtyping out their rear end about what Stan is "going to do" before the ink was even dry on the contract?

    I had the same gut reaction but the guy is very candid. Most of the negative things he said were right on. I disagree with what he said about Detroit fans but when you run your mouth so much, you're bound to stick your foot in it. But the media was all about Detroit when we beat him and were constantly asking him about Detroit. He was sick of it and he said so. Criticism of the buffoonery incident was spot on.
    I saw him as the enemy for a long time but we can't afford to hold on to grudges cultivated by a team long gone. SVG's teams have that same character that fits Detroit. Just because he dried when we beat him up doesn't mean he can't add value.

    I guarantee that he will/will not re-sign Monroe.

    Will you back up that guarantee? If Stan re-signs Monroe, would you use an Oprah avatar for 6 months?

    No Sir. Wiggles never ever waffled. He told us exactly what had happened. Unfortunately for him it didn't. Bill Laimbeer " tactfully" :mob-smiley2: pointed this out to wiggles who sort of permanently vanished.

    There are so many different threads people are starting (I get Jeremy's poll being seperate) . It makes it tougher to follow. Geez. He's only been here a couple of days. At this rate there will be 200 before the season even begins.

    Never mind. I'm sure it's just me. I will go back to the Eagles thread where I belong and cause trouble there. :icon evil::lurking:

    Eagles?? What do the Eagles have to do with anything? They remind me of a Sea Gull. You know,
    they fly around squawking all the time, crap all over every thing, and you can't shoot them because they're
    protected be the government.

    You are correct. Some people are a little thread-happy. It does make it more difficult to discuss a topic but to each his own I guess.
