For a month or two now, I've kind of relegated myself to the fact that we're going to end up drafting him. I think it's more likely than ever now..

Too stupid to tank and get into the top 3-4 picks. He seems to be slipping into our range due to an underwhelming season. What's the board think about one Shabazz Muhammad??

    Almost unanimousl
y projected as the #1 overall pick in the 2013 draft going into this season (much like Drummond the season prior). He's got terrific size, length and strength for the 2 or 3 position in the NBA. Phenomenal athleticism. He's supposed to be a fierce competitor and solid citizen. He's supposed to have all the skills to translate into a high scoring NBA all-star. He's, at worst, expected to be a well above average defender. Horrible lone season at UCLA - where the head coach did get fired.

What do we think about him?

    ..Me, personall
    y. Similar feeling I had as going into last year's draft. Last year, Anthony Davis - the #1 overall pick - was the only guy I would've even taken ahead of who we got at #9. This year, Ben McLemore - the probable #1 overall pick - is the only guy I'd for sure take ahead of Muhammad.

I like Smart, not sure if I like him more than Shabazz though. Porter reminds me too much of hated Ta
yshaun. Less need for a third big man like Noel, Bennett, etc. I'd be surprised if Oladipo was more than a defensive stopper in the league. Don't know much about the guard from Lehigh.

    Muhammad's m
    y man.

Add to that the reaction he had when somebody else took the last shot... and made the game winning shot, he was upset he didn't get the ball....

Just to many red flags and not enough talent there....

Long profile here: DraftExpress: NBA Draft Prospect of the Week: Shabazz Muhammad

Seems like he was a bit overhyped coming out of HS, is now getting some backlash and becoming underrated, and will stabilize himself sometime after the draft. I think he's a solid fit for Detroit depending on where the pick lands. Wing scoring!

Flashy, nonathletic, below the rim playing, score first, never pass guy who can't go to his right with questionable attitude and character.

    No thanks.

Rodney Stuckey averaged 24 points and 5 assists a game in college.

In Stuck's last 9 games (i.e. the month of March), he is averaging 17.4 pts/36 and 4.2 ast/36.

That scoring rate would put him both 2nd on the team in terms of per game and per minute rates. His eFG during this stretch is only behind Calderon, Drummond, and Villanueva for the season.

Maybe his headaches went away. He has climbed to 5th in total win shares on the team, a fraction behind Singler.

Just giving you some cold hard reality. Stuckey is proving to Joe that he was right all along. Cornerstone for the franchise. He's making Drummond expendable due to his toughness in the paint.

What some people see as a guy who has the 5th best win share % on a last place team, others see as a whole lot of talent!

    Ben Gordon gets 19pts/3.4ast p/36.

Doesn't mean he is any good or that you should want him on your team.
