No Tony Parker. I will be moving here in a month. Excited, but scared. Maybe I can catch a regular season game before the playoffs.
To this day I wished that Dumars would have drafted Blair. But he didnt like his knees and we drafted the healthy Austin Daye instead
Oh hes a tweener alright. But he's a good tweener who shoots at a 10 percent higher clip. You don't ever sign guys like Maxiell to extensions, considering that there are five Maxiells better than Maxiell getting paid a lot less.
The problem is if Pop couldn't make him a better player than what he is now, there is no way Kuester and Frank would have been able to do it. Still playing everyday like Max does, I still would have expected him to average more than 6 & 6 per game.
It's a good year to draft an elite SF prospect, that's for damn sure. I hope Jose sticks around. I don't think the odds are good, but I can hope.
Coach talked about effort. Blamed lack of effort for the loss. But the lack of effort was all his. Who else would start two point guards, bring a third in as your small forward, and then sit one of them, ignoring the fact that two point guards are already on the floor, and then bring in a 4th point guard. Who else would see CV give up bucket after bucket as the power forward, only to play him at center after that. And who else would still believe JJ is a power forward in the NBA? The coach blames lack of effort, yet you know the chances of him changing anything for next game is zilch. Because Frank will not put any effort whatsoever in coaching the team. Lack of effort - not one sign of it from our players. Lack of ability to do what coach asked of them, lots of it. Coach has everyone playing out of position, or along side someone who does not fill their role, because they can't. It was absolutely hilarious watching Calderon trying to run plays, with nobody who can shoot the ball, the lane packed no end, and nothing to do but give the ball up to Monroe, who, as I just said, faced a packed lane. Worse, sometimes he handed the ball to JMAX for a shot. Hah. Our coach should be fired so we can salvage some good from this season. Lets see what the young kids can do with extensive playing time. Our future is clearly not guys like Bynum and JMAX. JJ is a tweener. Even Singler is really a guy who hustles but is a tweener. Start signing guys on 10 days and find players who can fill roles. More of the same will get us nowhere but having to listen to a coach make up excuses some more. Pretty much zero positives from this one. The real story of the game - we c0mpeted with our starters, who are not atrocious though quite imbalaced. Once our bench came in, forget it. Especially CV, who the other team zeroed in on and would not quit going after. Our defense was totally pathetic. And it is who the coach chose to play that made it that way, not in any way shape or form anything to do with effort.
I said he is clearly not our future. Note, in this game, he did not matter on defense. Charlie played so much they did not need a second target.
39 points...we were only down 20 at the half...what happen in the 4th qtr? I abandoned the Piston game and tuned into The Walking Dead....the walkers probably had more hustle than our team... So what was worst? Our offense or our defense? 39 pts...Was that our worst drubbing of the season? ..The Spurs only beat the Kings by 18 points on Friday without TParker....well there goes his MVP award...
The Pistons deserve a larger share of the gate for the show they gave the Spurs fans. That was 1958's version of the And-1 team. The Spurs played at least 4 guys I had never heard of before.
