Coach Loyer is having trouble deciding if he should go with a formal or more casual look when he takes the court for tonight's game.

This would be the time for Popovich to give a signed copy of his How to be a RealGM book to lame duck Joe..

If Singler gets more than 25 minutes then it means he deserves it or it was either Joe or Loyer who was forcing Cheeks hand into playing him.

Maybe the Pistons should start firing their coaches during the games? Instead of having a contest where a fan tries to shoot a ball into a garbage can, have the fan predict if he will stay or go.

Wouldn't it be great if the TV broadcast came back on and they showed a replay of Cheeks leaving the floor after he got canned. Maybe Hooper could hit him in the face with a pie on the way out.

What an extraordinarily tacky post. And I wish I could stop laughing.

Which four players will get the chance to kickstart the Johnny Loyer-era together with Singler?

I'm certain that Singler was consulted before Cheeks was fired. Now he has a chance to put this team on his back and get them back in the playoff hunt. When the Spurs bring the double team he needs to find the open man.

I have to watch the game later but we looked focused on defense. Great win. Great distribution on the offensive side.

The defensive pressure was there, with 13 steals, but still they should not have let them cut it down to 9.......after holding a 23 point lead with 2 minutes left in the 3rd. We still let them shoot 52%, but held on to win.

But alas, all NBA teams will make a comeback in the 4th....especially on the Pistons. That two man game by Bynum and Stuckey slowed us down on one end and then killed us on the defensive end. ....which explains why they were both -6. KCP, was also a negative but at least he finally got back in the scoring column.

All five starters scored in double figures along with Rodney.....(Pope and Bynum were just short of it)
65 points from the Spurs bench......wish we had a bunch of no names that could give us bench numbers like that.

Sheed moved from the back of the bus to the premium$$ front row sitting, and was there to cheer, coach and blend in.

Give Loyer the game ball and lets forget the tanking and shoot for the 5th seed....probably need to go 21-10 to be certain of this happening.

A Piston run continues. This is it. The push to get to .500.

Same formula. The front line dominated and put pressure on the Spurs. The up tempo seems to work as Isiah said the other night. Jennings playing in motion hits a few shots. Josh gets the ball in better places in motion (he missed some easy ones but he is reliable enough when he gets the ball in the context of a real offense).

Monroe attacking relentlessly had a very good game. Stuckey played his mid-range game well.

The defense scrambled as NBA defenses do. The bigs were there. The Pistons forced turnovers getting into the passing lanes.

Joe needs to get another point guard to strengthen the rotation to let this run go straight into the playoffs. The Pistons must deal. There is no way the Pistons will make the lottery. The bottom 7-8 are taken. Gores has made it clear he is not interested in a draft pick anyway.

The weak 4th quarters do seem to be triggered by having Jennings on the bench. I'd try shaking that up a bit and having him play the entire 4th.

In this one, both teams scored the same number of points from the floor. Difference was plus 9 ft makes for us. We got the extra attempts through the turnover differential mainly (only 2 steals by the spurs). Great passing and resistance to pressuring by our guards.

Home court is good to us lately. Good bye draft pick, hello playoffs.
