vs San Antonio Spurs Friday Feb 8 2013 - 7:30 PM EST Palace of Auburn Hills, Detroit, MI TV: FS Detroit RADIO: 97.1FM GO PISTONS!
This is quite a little streak we got going. I don't see us winning until the Pelicans game next week. I was looking at some of the upcoming games in the 'Game Threads' section of this very forum and Roscoe shows our Pistons playing both Milwaukee AND Memphis on Saturday, 2/9. I'm not sure if this is a double header or a couple of split-squad games. Irregardless; this sounds like a pretty tough day in Piston's land.
If it is indeed a split-squad day, I'd like to see how Lee356 splits up the team and see which group he has playing each team.
Must have been an error on the spreadsheet data I used to post the games. I use a macro to create all the threads from csv data and the dates at Pistons.com don't format nicely to a machine readable format. Fixed now. We will play Memphis on the 19th.
I'd start by splitting up the recap experts (perhaps putting lee356 on one squad, with LA Dre and Alexa on the other).
Even with 2 games in one day, I highly doubt that a healthy Drummond would manage to get more than 22 minutes.
A rotation Frank would love. At power forward, Stuckey. CV at center. Knight at small forward. Calderon at shooting guard. Bynum at point. Bench: Calderon and Bynum take turns sitting, so one is always playing the point. Singler is the backup shooting guard and small forward. JJ the backup center and power forward. Monroe plays in case of foul trouble, but otherwise, its seven guys playing about 35 minutes each.
Slava should get another good chance to show his stuff. Hoping we just chill and sit Drum until he feels better. No need for a 19 yo rook to try to play through the pain of bad spasms when we're in no man's land in the standings.
This team spreads the floor too much. Here is what I would put out if I was play acting Frank C:Maxiell PF:Stuckey SF: Maggette SG:Knight PG:Bynum This way, we have no outside shooting, no offensive rebounding, and a whole bunch of innefficient inside shooters. Sounds like Lawrence Frank to me.
You can't have a fictional Lawrence Frank lineup without Kyle Singler in it somewhere. He'd set himself on fire before he sat him.
Y'all are silly. You've really bought into the small ball, play to lose agenda. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
I would pay money to see Kyle Singler play while Lawrence Frank was on fire. Larry could be like a Buddhist monk protesting Stucky's reluctance to actually kick out to an open shooter.
Good try, but Maggette can actually shoot a bit. PS, did you notice just how close (60% match), to what we used as a starting unit to begin the season? That unit: Stuckey, Knight, Tay, JMAX, and Monroe covered pretty much all your bases. They could not garner a defensive rebound, could not defend the paint, and could not ever hit an outside shot. And it was no joke, it was what Frank thought passed for a decent starting unit. Adding Singler and removing Stuckey was Stuckey's idea, not Frank's. This change increased our interior D, increased our rebounding, and added at least one outside shooter.
