We are playing a 1-5 team which features D. Cousins and I.Thomas...and little else.
They're a poor shooting team and should be a nice comeback game for the Pistons.
It's been pointed out that the losing teams recently have been scoring 95 points...

    So...........Kings 95 - Pistons 95

Moose is 5-1 against Cousins since they were drafted. The sole loss was last year in Sacramento where we lost by 2 pts where a furious 4th quarter comeback fell short.

I can't wait for Moose to score another win against that punk in Sacto.

You know, guys, Sacto probably looking at our defense and chomping at the bit to put some points on the board. And we are 2-5, not much better at this point. We are third from the bottom in the East in points allowed and fifth from the bottom in the NBA (only Philly, Washington, Clippers, and Lakers give up more).

Oh, and we're dead last in Opponents FG% at .493. and one of the worst 3-point shooting teams.

Need this win to re-establish some of my faith in the good points I have seen in other games.

Going on our lineup and these prior good points, these next two should both be W's.

Free KCP, bench Bynum and win the last two of this road trip.

    Please.

    Blowout victory for the Pistons.
The last two games = leaning experience for Maurice.

    Pope starts.
Smith has huge game and his coach hugs him afterward.
Pizza goes off and cans 7 threes.
Stuckey gets benched for not fighting through a pick. ...Yes, Cheeks actually benches him!
Boogie gets tossed in the 3rd Q. He's frustrated by the triple towers.

I read on DBB.com that the Pistons are 1-44 in our last 45 road games against Western Conference teams. Can that really be true? Maybe I misinterpreted it.

If that is true, it is pathetic.

Didn't Sacto win in DET during one of Ben Wallace's Buffoonery Era years? Cousins had a a monster game if I recall.

Cousins is at 22.9 and 9+ per this year.

Hopefully tonight we can make it 2-46 in our last 48 road games against WC teams instead of 1-47!

Josh Smith is nothing short of a Renaissance man. For those who criticize his small faults, such as his tendency to favor the 3 point shot, just think back to the great Leonardo da Vinci and his faults. Arguably his greatest work, The Last Supper's rather lazy composition and use of many different materials has not held up well over the years, proving to be a nightmare for restorers.

However, like Josh Smith, da Vinci's multifaceted set of skills far outweighed his weaknesses. That's how I think of Josh Smith, and I believe the fans should too; and when Josh plays a part in leading us to another championship, that banner will be our own Last Supper. Posterity will reflect back on our triumph and, perhaps, finally realize just how good Josh Smith is beyond the numbers.

Finally a win vs a west conference team on the road. Not sure about the Kings though as it was Cousins and the second coming of Zeke, who kept it closer than it should have been. No Billups in this one as the KCP started at the 2 and although only scoring 7 points, it was better output that we had gotten out of CB in our last four losses.

The Pistons finally pulled away during the last couple of minutes of third to lead by 10 at end of the quarter and maintained a lead of 9-14 points the rest of the game until Cousins dropped in a layup with less than 5 seconds on the clock as the Pistons won 97-90.

Our defense finally woke up (against the Kings???) and I can refer back to the previous thread where I said that if the Pistons wanted to win, they had to keep the opposition under 100 or even under 90 points.

The Pistons capitalized on plenty of Kings TO's to start the game, but they still couldn't pull away and in the back of some of our minds, we were probably thinking another 4th qtr coaching loss. But a funny thing happen....Mo realizing that the Bynum-Stuckey combo was keeping the Kings in the game finally decided to sit Teen Wolf in the second half, give Jennings more minutes and it paid off with a W.

Dre was a monster in this one with 16-18,,,,, But he looked turrible to start the second half missing 4 straight shots under the hoop before Mo pulled him so that Sheed could fill his head with a bunch of ball don't lie sheedisms. He came back on the court with a frenzy near the end of the third and lead the Pistons to the 10 point lead.

Great games from Josh and Stuckey tonight too.

Really happy to get the W. Keep the faith guys. We're two games under .500 and this is the toughest part of our road schedule.

I am still confident of having a winning season.

Oh, and not a bad game from Jennings either. These guys need time to gel, we're not seeing the best version of what we can be. Not yet.

The ESPN crew, especially color woman Doris Burke really pumped up the Pistons chances this season and really had a basketball Love Jones for Andre Drummond.

Good to win on national tv after getting slayed by the Warriors on NBA TV on Tuesday.
