I think KCP's shooting percentage will improve once he gets used to the speed of the NBA game. Some guys take longer to adjust. If he gets the minutes, I bet he starts lighting it up by December.

KCP hasn't taken very many shots yet.

Still, he's shooting better than Datome, Billups, Singler, Jennings, Villanueva, and Jerebko. And he's 0.1 % worse than Stuckey, who had a hot start.

He also has our 3rd highest 3 point percentage and free throw percentage.

Everybody on the team has had a lack of open shots so far as our ball movement kind of stinks.

Jennings is a career bad shooter. He's 39% for his career and guess what he's shooting this year....... 39%!!!!! For crying out loud Rodney Stuckey is shooting 42% for his career. The guy is a bum and a loser. I DO NOT LIKE HIM!

He has a career eFG of .454 compared to Allen Iverson's .452. So, his shooting percentage is high enough to get him in the Hall of Fame if the rest of his game was comparable.

    Stuckey's eFG of .438 because he's a miserable 3-point shooter.

I think KCP in the Starting lineup and Pizza as the 1st sub off of the bench would help decrease the amount of 3-point bombs that BJ7 is taking. ...also Smith's ill advised attempts to win a car buy sinking one from halfcourt.

There are a lot of problems with the team right now, from Coach thru to players. It's not as simple as one guy sucks. Mistakes are being made.

I know of a good way to test your theory.

Vince Goodwill tweeted that Billups did not practice today and was treated for tendonitis in his knee.

This should open the door for KCP unless the Pistons decide to bring Austin Daye back.

@vgoodwill: Billups missed practice with tendonitis in his knee. Day to day. Would be surprised if he played tomorrow. #Pistons

I bet Cheeks informed Chauncey of his "tendinitis".

And if the tendinitis is real, then what was Cheeks thinking by overplaying a 37 year old like that?

Bynum vs Jennings so far this season (per 36):

    Stat: WB/ BJ
    Pts: 17.8/ 21.0
    eFG: .500/ .430
    Ast: 6.5/ 6.3
    Tov: 2.8/ 3.1
    Reb: 3.0/ 3.6
    Stl: 2.1/ 2.9
    PER: 19.5/ 20.5
    WS/48: .125/ .079

    Pretty interchangeable.

Adjust their points against shot attempts and I bet Bynum leads in that category. I still say he's no better than Will. I believe if you gave Will the same minutes and same autonomy you'd get the same production and number of wins, which won't be very many because Will (like Jennings) is not a starting PG but rather a spark off the bench. We better take a long look at Grieves Vazquez this year!

I was mentioning Greivis Vasquez as sombody we shoud target back in the Spring.
I don't think that he'd work without a SF that can bust jumpers from the outside. Greivis can't shoot.

In today's NBA, I don't think you can survive without having at least 2 shooters on the floor at any given time. Maybe a few years back prior to the new rules allowing zone defenses but now a days, yo gotta spread the floor.

...of course now he's gonna go out there and shoot 9 for 9 from downtown tonight and make me look stupid.

When Joe made the trade I was just happy to get rid of BK7. I hate Jennings' game. A career 39% shooter, who plays like he's on the And-1 Mixtape Tour but I tried to keep an open mind because while I hate how he plays the game, you can't deny how much talent that he has.......and he has A LOT! Sick handle, super quick, super fast and excellent court vision but I can say ALL of that about Will Bynum too. Matter of fact Jennings is essentially Will when Will came out of of HS. All that said I tried to give the kid a chance to show us he was a different player than the one who played in Milw the last 4 years, he's not. Every time I watch him play all I can think is, "now I see why Hammond didn't want him and why no one else wanted him either." The two games he sat out we had a 3 guard rotation of Billups, Bynum and KCP, and it worked! We were beginning to establish an identity too of working the ball inside on teams all game long, all of that has stopped with the arrival of Jennings. The guy is a bum and as far as I'm concerned he becomes another $8M/yr blunder by Joe.
