Nothing is official as they are still in the moratorium period, but he has verbally agreed to terms with SAC.

If KCP gets beaten for the job by Ish, I'll be really disappointed. I like Ish very much; but KCP should be better.

Also, the RJ/Ish backcourt is not one we should be playing too often . . . just not sure how that meshes or -- especially -- how it defends.

Yeah I don't see Ish playing much with BlueV.
But if Bullock,Bounce and ___, all shoot better than KCP I see his minutes diminish.

Ah, I misunderstood your post, Thee. BlueV, Ish and KCP were the first three guards I saw, and since I'm stuck in 1989 with a 3-guard rotation in mind, I thought you were saying Ish would eat into KCP's minutes.

If we're talking about other guys, I'll be even more disappointed if KCP starts losing minutes! KCP should be getting better -- should be solidifying his hold on starting 2-guard. If he starts going the other way then he is not championship material....

With Bounce being squeezed by MM and others at SF I could see him playing into KCPs minutes.
so you're a Team Captain now, respect.

I think we can all agree that Pope is under a microscope in his contract year. This will be his first year with serious competition. Hilliard and Bullock.

I don't think you want to rely on your second round pick to play heavy minutes at the 2. I think SJ is better suited at the 3. He is not a reliable shooter.

they could all turn the corner this yr. meaning KCP keeps his workload.
but if he doesn't any and all could be an improvement

I think Stan has showed he will be patient if a guy is struggling, but the hook is always there. Doesn't matter if you're Dre or MM.

We didn't have PG depth last year so RJ got away with a lot.

They were both on the roster last year.... why do we think they will improve by leaps and bounds, and if I buy in on that... why wouldn't I drink the same koolaid for Pope?

I don't think anyone should drink the koolaid about anything.

I suspect both guys will improve. They both have the right work ethic.

Pope got lucky the last two years with Meeks getting hurt. A healthy Meeks may have taken some minutes from him.

I am not anti-Pope. Simply keeping the discussion real. We finally have competition. We finally have depth.
