Their last offer wasn't that great either, the #16 pick and Kyle Lowry. We could beat that. If Houston moves up to #5 for nothing and gets our man while Joe-D sits on his hands, I'll be PISSED. Fire him if that happens. Honestly. Enough of this is enough of this.

What have we got that could beat that? Monroe is out of the question and a Knight + 9th would be about the same value and I'd be PISSED if we traded that for the 5th.

    Knight + 9 = Lowry + 15. Give me a break.

I'd give them 9 and any combination of players on our roster not named Monroe or Knight (and I'd like to keep Stuckey as well).

Lowry > Knight, 9 > 15 and there are no combination of players on this roster that would get the 5th for the 9th if you exclude Monroe and Knight.

The Lakers are trying to move Pau Gasol for a top 10 pick. The Pistons have a top 10 pick.

I'll give Joe D props for not screwing up a great pick falling into his lap for 3 consecutive years. Just say thanks to those that passed on Knight and Monroe. I think Drummond will end up being a great pick, as well.

Weren't similar things about "motor" or whatever said about William Bynum as well?

The Lakers had Kareem and Lew Alcindor working with him full time from the start and it took Bynum how long to make an impact? (Joining a much better team?)

I think I fear the Piston organization here more than the player.

Agreed. That was my first thought when we drafted him. Bring in both of them! Mahorn can teach him how to box out and Laim can teach him how to shoot.

LOL, I knew that looked funny to me. It took me a good 3o seconds after reading your post to realize who William Bynum was.

    Lord help me.

Given the fact that I heard someone mention that Drummond is a 29% free thow shooter, Ben could lend him a hand in that area as well.

Ben Wallace will never coach. It's not his style. He has said so.
