So you see, if Rip was unhappy, I don't think he would have signed the contract extension. It appears that he did not ink that deal until after Iverson deal. I think everyone on the team is pretty happy about this deal. Heck, McDyess did not want to be traded, he wanted to come back to the D. Just like the guys at work are saying, everyone would like the opp to play with Iverson.
Well AG, you never know. Just because Rip inked this deal later in the day, he may not have found out about the trade till after he signed on the dotted line...............:icon_evil:
Hey Dlev, you know those guys know stuff before us fans do. I betcha that Rip and the rest of the team knew this was coming yesterday. I will never forget my cousin, Charles Oakley told me years ago that the GM (A good GM), will talk to each player inidvidually prior to a trade. Often times the players will lie and tell the media that they didn't know.
Normally veterans get a heads up unless you are a complete jerk and the team just wants you gone. I am quite sure Joe D. talked to AI once they had an agreement on the details to make sure he wanted to come before pulling the trigger and vice versa.
Wow, Joe D IS DA MAN! He's the Pioli of the NBA! No, Pioli is the Joe D of the NFL! How can anyone doubt any move this guy makes?
I highly doubt Joe D signed Rip right before the trade in some shady move. He maybe having a very large stupid moment right now, but he doesn't operate like that.
