Quoted for the truth. At least AI can handle the ball. He makes some bad and sometimes lazy passes, but his pocket doesn't get picked nearly as much as Rip.

I cringe EVERY time Rip thinks about dribbling. I just chalk it up as an automatic turnover. I mean seriously, I'm nowhere near pro status and have better handles than Rip has ever had. He should have mandatory ball handling drills for 2 hours per day.

I'm sure he did plenty of those drills when Chauncey was here.

The irony is that Rip played PG at UConn.

Sorry, I should have said, "played some point guard". He was not the full time PG.

Chaunce could have used one of these balls in a game and still get his 5:1 assist/turnover ratio.

apparently Jim Calhoun referred to him as a more talented Richard Hamilton, but I haven't found a reputable link yet, unless the mecca of truth wikipedia counts.

I know the hype surrounding him was never reciprocated with results.

I really want to find this Jim Calhoun quote now to verify it.

update- it's all over the place and no one seems to feel the need to cite a reference. We need to send a couple of our people over there to go to work on them.

edit again- you know what?....I think we need to add a "Link Please?" smiley

Gazoo works at UConn, iirc in the athletics dept. I bet he would have some insight.

Is it bad that even after Rip's drives in the lane where he actually finishes, I'm still cursing at him for attempting a dribble penetration move in the first place? :D

I think that might have just been the authors attempt to toss Rip a bone after bagging on his limited range.

I didn't say they chose not to report it. I said they could have chose not to report it. After the smear jobs on people that leave this team (Ben,Flip, etc) where are this "new" information comes pouring out, i wouldn't be surprised if alot of what we hear is what the organization wants us to hear. The writers aren't exactly ground-braking mavericks here. Remember all the stuff we heard about the locker room incidents, different acts of insurbodination after it was OK to say it b/c said problem was leaving the team?

It's irrelevant now. There's an AI PC quote about it (and the answer Rip should have given as well), and MC's brilliant solution is effin small ball.
I do the same thing LOL

    LMAO.

I saw a couple of references to Cloud's post so I went back to see what he was referencing. My Spidey senses told me to swallow the coffee I had in my mouth and set the cup down before looking for it. :ranger:

    Wise choice, Grasshopper.
