New Power Rankings Here's a link to the Fox sports power rankings mentioned above. CBS SportsLine.com's Power Rankings are all about the Pistons. Pistons remain number one on ESPN's Rankings as well.
Read the stuff about the Pistons (Thank you Kerr) and the Knicks (ha ha). http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...cB?slug=sk-rankings121905&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
Steve Kerr's new rankings A league of their own The first rout – at the Palace on Christmas Day – was supposed to be a fluke. The Spurs didn't want to be in Michigan, they were tired, they were without Manu Ginobili, etc. The second game was supposed to be a better indication of where San Antonio stood in comparison to the Pistons. The Spurs were healthy, ready and undoubtedly fired up for revenge. That's what made Detroit's undressing of the Spurs in the Alamo City on Thursday even more enlightening than the first one. The Pistons proved with their blowout win that there isn't a single team in the NBA that is ready to challenge them. So for now, the league should be called the "DBA'" – Detroit's Basketball League.
Steve Kerr's latest rankings, Mark Stein's (ESPN.com) latest, and Fox sports.com's latest. Here's a shocker. Pistons still at No. 1. Who would've thunk it? :P
if pistons lose 1 more, and dallas or spurs don't i think the pistons finally might not be on the top in the rankings.
The Pistons slide to No. 3 in Dime Magazine's latest power rankings, as some suspected (good call, Himat) they might, after suffering back-to-back humiliating losses to Indiana and Atlanta. Although they remain in the top spot of CBSSportsLine.com's rankings. (Note: CBS SportsLine's rankings were submitted before the Atlanta loss)
Pistons drop to 2nd in both NBA power rankings and the Fox Sports Power rankings. Of course Dallas has vaulted to number one with their dozen straight victories. If Miami knocks off the Mavs tonight and we take care of business in Florida this weekend as well payback the Nets next Tuesday we should get back to the top. But then again, maybe falling to second or third will inspire this team to wake up and start playing better after the break.
The Pistons fall to number three in Marc Stein's weekly power rankings. Just when the rest of the league is dropping Detroit like a rock, they hold tough atop of Steve Kerr's rankings. Who would've thunk it?
