Are you saying that despite his heart palpitations and retirement, he would voluntarily risk his life to help the Pistons tank?
I'm saying that despite the palpitations and the fact that he's retired, he would likely be more consistant than Max and way better than the Pistons' highest paid frontcourt tweeter player. When Kwame Brown looks good to you, you KNOW you have issues. Until Jason Maxiel is the 4th best big man on the Pistons: 1. Monroe will have no help. 2. Every night will be "Free Chile Night" at the Palace for Piston opponents. 3. The Pistons will lose a lot of games. 4. The team won't be as fun to watch. 5. The chances of Monroe leaving after his rookie deal will be greatly increased.
Speaking of taking gambles on washed up big men: Pistons should pounce on recently waived J.J. Hickson - Detroit Bad Boys
I said that a few weeks ago and everybody was in disagree with me.. I said that we should trade Daye for him.
I think that you're refering to Chileans. Peruvian's are from Peru. I deal with both of these countries for work a lot. I'm used to typing "Chile" instead of Chili. ...as Ben Gordon says when he plays defense: "whoops!"
Yeah, I know Chileans. But why give them a free night and not extend the favor to Peruvians? You're taking sides in the maritime delimitation dispute, aren't you?
Lets take this one step further. Sign Daye to the max length, max value contract. 1 - Write in guarantee clauses related to a)minutes played and b)performance 2 - Only guarantee the first two years When we trade all the crappy contracts waive Daye and only have to pay out about $5 mil based on projected minutes and performance. Super boss
But what he is actually paid will be far lower - its a non guaranteed contract with performance clauses. He's a shoe in HOF'er anyway - lowest pass completion rate, lowest dribble completion rate, most oversized at position
And if that wouldn't clinch it - all time performances in lowest eFG% for a designated shooter, lowest rebounding percentage for a 6'11 guy and weakest player at position.
Long but interesting article about how much of Oden's issues are failures of the Portland medical staff. Blazersedge Maybe Arnie ought to get a chance.
I saw the original article to this, which focuses its attention equally between Roy and Oden. It feels like a sell. Having said that, I still expect to see plenty of suitors. With the advent of PRP and other types of 'experimental' medicines becoming mainstream, maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Oden was an absolute force when he did play though.
