This guy is crumbling faster than Yao Ming. That's a tough gamble to take for any price.

I'm not sure that any amount of frozen bananas can fix Greg Oden.

Not really much point even discussing the possibility until he is healthy. Which won't be until this time next year at the earliest it appears. I don't think he is worth a roster spot until then.

Heck yeah I'd sign him for the right price.
I'd email G-O's agent an Antonio McDyess post-injury highlight reel and convince him that bannana peels are the way to go.

At least Greg Oden sustained his injuries while he was concious.

Even without legs this guy is an upgrade over VanillaFlavour.

However, it this three microfractures in a row? Either the guy has a turd surgeon, or is practicising martial arts in recovery.

I don't think its impossible for him to return. But its definately a long shot. Having said that, he totally dominated Noah, and was a serious force. Given the lack of viable, powerful centres who aren't named Bynum or Howard in the league, it's a risk I would take given that his salary was only $1.5 million a year.

So far as I can see, this guy is a total WARP giant. For that money, its not even a decision. I expect a number of suitors.

There are some things that even Arnie can't fix. But, that being said, who wouldn't want another chapter in the "Supremely talented cast-aside player rejuvenates his career in Detroit" saga? For $1M a year, why not?

Greg Oden has never really played in the NBA. I don't think he's going to start now that he's been waived.

Guys, Charlie Villanueva has been out all season with a mildly sore ankle. You think Kander's snake oil can make Greg Oden 30 years old again?

JD told Kander that CV had been traded.

For 1M a year, there will be 29 teams waiting in line to get him.

May as well just donate $1M to Joe's favorite charity (and no, I don't mean CV).

But only one of those teams has a trainer that harnesses the healing powers of fruit like Arnie Kander.

Oden's upside would be worth the gamble IMO.
Keep in mind that Antonio McDyess could un-retire and start next to Monroe in the Pistons' froncourt this year.

I would sign Monroe for the minimum in a heart beat. There's no downside to it. Even with all of his injuries, he's still been a legit big man when he's been on the floor. As long as he can get on the floor, he'll block shots, rebound, and score the occasional hoop inside.

If I were Gores, I'd spend a million to see if Oden could play again.

I'm sure that's the mind set of every team in the NBA.
