    Joe will fire Michael Curry.

I don't think Joe's ego is bigger than his desire for success.
He's proven that through his past mistakes (Darko, Nazmo, Flip, etc.).

Joe Dumars has proven himself to be a winner.

They are friends. However, I cannot see Joe keeping him if they do not make the playoffs. That will test the friendship, but I think he will be fired.

Can't see it happening, especially if Joe signs a decent FA. Curry messed up teaching Stuckey how to play point. He never earned the respect of the team. And his lineups are scatter shot. Hopefully, this is the year Joe finally gives Big Bill his shot.

I like to vote late or not at all on polls, even though my opinion is usually set.

I'm not sure it is ethical for the pollster to participate in his own poll, I am quite sure it is not ethical for him to be a front runner in the poll. It could skew the results.

The reason is simple, from my point of view but 2009 is the seasson of defeats and reconstruction over victories.
In this scenario, Curry can lead a few months until January / February if the team does not meet expectations now that Curyy know more detroit roster, meanwhile Joe can take the medium-term reconstruction decissions this summer.
At mid-season, with a defined project for 2010 Joe can offer a coach for players to ask for your style, explaining his style of play and see the players at the end of the 2009 season to get started with the project approach in 2010.
That's why I think Curry will continue a few months to test whether you can do better, and especially to complete the transition to the new project, maybe winning team in 2010.

    Curry will stay.
Some players like Max, AA and Amir will be traded during summer thinking they were the main reason why this season failed (no quality players/bench).

Then halfway through the next season all of the traded players have emerged with their current teams and are playing as quality (bench)players.
Detroit is still playing crap basketball at that time and Joe realises it wasn't the players but the coach(ing staff) and fires Curry.

Yeah cause you wouldn't want to hurt any bodies feelings.
Or confuse their empty heads with and in-doctored opinion.

It won't happen man... Curry isn't smart enough to realize it.

His job is probably safe anyways, much to my chagrin.
